U. S. President Donald Trump says he is near an agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping on greater and faster Chinese purchasing of U. S. farm products, predicting that the U. S. will be “pleasantly surprised.” Newsweek contacted the Chinese government for comment. Why It Matters China is the world’s largest soybean importer and has long been the top buyer of U. S. soybeans, but its purchases ground to a near halt this year in retaliation for Trump’s tariffs on Chinese goods, stinging American farmers. Trump announced a deal on soybeans-the most valuable U. S. agricultural export-on October 30, after talks with Xi in South Korea, to the relief of U. S. farmers. Greater Chinese purchasing of U. S. farm produce will boost U. S. exports as well as support for Trump in rural America. What To Know “I spoke to President Xi about buying our farm products and he said he agreed with me,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One, referring to his Monday phone call with the Chinese leader. Trump did not say specifically what Xi has agreed to, but mentioned more Chinese purchases of U. S. farm products. “I asked him, ‘I’d like you to buy it a little faster. I’d like you to buy more,’ and he’s more or less agreed to do that. I think we will be pleasantly surprised by the actions of President Xi,” Trump said. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said earlier that China would be buying a bounty of U. S. soybeans during the coming years. “The Chinese are right on schedule in terms of the cadence of their purchases. Over the next 3 1/2 years, we are going to see 87. 5 million metric tons purchased by the Chinese-minimum-and they are right on schedule,” he told CNBC in an interview Tuesday. The agreement Trump reached with Xi last month will bring total U. S. soybean exports to China this year to 18 million metric tons-down 32 percent from last year and marking the weakest year for American soy since 2018. China has diversified its imports this year by increasing purchases of lower-cost soybeans from Brazil-its top supplier-and Argentina, and analysts have said China is unlikely to reverse that trend, even if relations with the U. S. stabilize. The October deal included trade and tariff concessions from both sides. Trump agreed to delay his threatened 100 percent tariff on Chinese goods and reduce an existing duty on certain fentanyl precursor chemicals from 20 percent to 10 percent. In return, China postponed for at least one year its planned export restrictions on rare earth elements, which are crucial for defense and high-tech industries. What People Are Saying Trump, referring to Xi, to reporters: “I think he’s going to very much surprise you with the upside.” What Happens Next Trump has confirmed that he will be visiting China in April and that Xi would later visit the U. S. Bessent said Xi would also attend a G20 meeting in the U. S. next year and that Trump might visit China for an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

My sister helped me recover from surgery. To thank her, I took her on a cruise to Alaska.
In January of this year, I had to have cervical spine surgery. Ironically, I wasn’t worried as much about the surgery as I was about the post-surgery fallout. For several weeks post-op, I wouldn’t be able to drive (due to not being able to turn my neck), so I was trying to figure out how to get my kids to school, sports, clubs, and their various activities. Plus, my doctor warned me that it would be a good idea to get help with cooking, laundry, and any other activities that involved turning my neck (turns out that’s just about everything). Fortunately, I’m one of six children, and I turned to my sister, Rose, for help. She willingly flew from Chicago to New York to take care of me and my family for three weeks. It turns out that having her stay with me was incredible. Not only was she super helpful, but getting the chance to see her every day, when we rarely got to catch up outside holidays, was a treat. I wanted to do something special with her to express my gratitude. My favorite thing to do is travel specifically, adventure travel and gifting her a trip to Alaska on an expedition cruise was something I figured we’d both enjoy. We chose what to do Hiking, kayaking, and exploring the great outdoors were activities I often enjoyed when traveling. The more active, the better. My sister, however, was prone to more relaxing vacations. So when we showed up in Juneau on our first day aboard Uncruise’s Wild, Wooly and Wow with Glacier Bay itinerary, I think we were both wondering how this trip would work. What’s great about Uncruise is it’s a choose-your-own adventure each day we would be able to pick two activities for that day, and there was no obligation to stick together. The first day, we were going to get up close to glaciers and icebergs. I immediately thought kayaking was the activity for us; Rose wasn’t so sure. I convinced her to try it, and off we went. The scenery was amazing giant icebergs floated around us as our guide pointed to a spot in the far distance as our turnaround point. I was loving it. As the wind picked up and the rain started, Rose told me that she was glad she had done this, but she wanted me to know that it was a one-and-done type of activity. Her back hurt, and she was tired. The next day, when the activity options were given, I immediately jumped at the chance to bushwhack. Bushwhacking was basically hiking up the Alaskan terrain without any paths, so literally bushwhacking our way through climbing over roots, under fallen trees, and into some pretty muddy spots (I got stuck and almost lost my knee-high boots in several swampy areas). We went off to do what we liked I asked Rose what option appealed to her, and she said the skiff tour a boat ride that gets close to shore and promises to see plenty of animals (no exercise required). That activity was at the bottom of my list. At first, I tried to convince her to go bushwhacking with me, but then I realized that this was her vacation, too. Yes, we were traveling together, but we also had very different interests and ideas of what constitutes a good vacation. Rose went on her skiff tour and came back super excited she saw tons of grizzly bears, humpback whales, otters, and even orcas. While I had not seen any animals, I was flying high on adrenaline from hiking up a mountain without a trail and taking in the most magical views from the top. Rose quickly made friends with the other skiff riders, and I became good friends with my hiking and kayaking buddies. Each day, Rose and I did our own thing no pressure on the other person to join. And it worked out beautifully. She saw tons of wildlife, and I got my active adventure. Unlike when we were younger and felt strongly that we needed to do the same things, getting older allowed me to realize that accepting my sister and her choices and not pressuring her to do what I thought was best was the key to a happy relationship.

Diablo 4: Can you play in split-screen?
Diablo 4 is a very popular co-op game, but can you split-screen? What could be better than sitting down on the couch with a friend or loved one, and smashing through hordes of demons and the undead in D4? This Season in particular has been a good one, and likely saw quite a few players return for it. Unfortunately, if you’re looking specifically for split-screen co-op in Diablo 4, the answer is a very firm “no”. While that may not be what people want to hear, there is still a solution for playing together in-person, provided you’re playing on console. Steps to play split-screen co-op in Diablo 4 While you can’t play split-screen co-op in Diablo 4, you can couch co-op, provided you’re playing on console. Sadly, PC players don’t get access to this feature, and while it has been known to have issues on console, it is still an option that’s available to you, should you really have a hankering to play together in person. Technically, all you need to do is have Diablo 4 installed on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, and have two controllers. There are a few restrictions to keep in mind though, before you commit. Each player needs to have a PSN/Xbox Live account, though both players do not need to own D4 to play couch co-op. If your partner doesn’t own the game, they won’t be able to use any of your characters either, so they’ll be starting fresh. What this means for you is that you’ll likely be starting a new character with them. In order to group it with someone who had already established a character, they have to at least clear the prologue of D4, at least on the Seasonal servers. The good news is if that person you were going to split-screen with has D4, and they’ve linked their Battle. net to their PSN, it’s a simple matter of logging in, and picking the character they want to use. You won’t split-screen though. If someone gets too far away, the other player will teleport to them. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s the closest we’re going to get, if that’s your preference. Check out our other Diablo 4 guides and features Diablo 4 Season 11: Best build for each class (based on PTR) Diablo 4 Season 11: All Divine Gifts and how to get them Diablo 4 Season 11: All new Uniques Diablo 4 Season 11 release date, and all known features.

What your photos are secretly telling everyone (and how to fix it)
Every photo you take is secretly telling a story you might not want to share. Buried inside the image file is hidden metadata that can reveal exactly when and where you took it, what camera or phone you used, and even your camera settings. Unfortunately, this information can be misused by anyone online to find your home address or track your movements. This “secret” data is stored within the EXIF metadata.
While EXIF data can be useful for sorting and finding your photos, it can also become a privacy nightmare. Here’s what you need to know about EXIF—and, more importantly, how to fix the issue.
—
## Why You Should Remove Metadata From Your Photos
Any digital camera or mobile phone you use to take a photo automatically captures and embeds a bunch of details into the image file. This information, called metadata—specifically EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format)—includes camera settings like shutter speed, aperture, ISO speed, white balance, as well as image dimensions, resolution, color space, GPS location, and the date and time of capture.
While this information is useful for photographers and anyone interested in learning more about a photo, posting images online with embedded metadata can pose privacy and security risks. For example, the GPS coordinates in a picture of your backyard could be exploited by someone to identify your home address and potentially doxx you.
By stripping metadata from your photos, you remove all EXIF information and can share pictures online without worrying about exposing sensitive details.
—
## How to Remove Metadata From Your Photos
There are various tools available to remove metadata, but choosing the right one ensures the best results for your device and needs.
### Use ExifCleaner if You’re on Windows
ExifCleaner is a popular, free tool for removing metadata from images on Windows. It supports all major image formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF, and its standout feature is batch processing, allowing you to remove metadata from multiple images at once.
ExifCleaner also works with videos (MOV, MP4, M4A) and PDF documents.
**How to Use ExifCleaner:**
1. Download ExifCleaner from its official website and install it on your PC.
2. Launch the app. Use *File > Open* or drag and drop images into the window.
3. Add multiple images for batch processing if desired.
4. ExifCleaner will strip the metadata and display the before-and-after details in a table.
5. Hover over the “Exif Before” number to view the original embedded details.
**Important:** ExifCleaner overwrites the original images, so back up your photos if you want to retain the metadata.
**Alternative native method on Windows:**
– Open File Explorer and navigate to your image.
– Right-click the file, select **Properties**, and go to the **Details** tab.
– Click **Remove Properties and Personal Information**.
– Choose to create a copy with all possible properties removed or selectively remove them from the original.
—
### ImageOptim Is the Best Option on a Mac
While you can use ExifCleaner on Mac, ImageOptim offers a superior experience with a cleaner interface and support for more file formats. It allows selective metadata removal, so you can keep useful info while stripping sensitive details.
ImageOptim also optimizes images to reduce file size without sacrificing quality, and lets you adjust compression settings.
**How to Use ImageOptim:**
1. Download and install ImageOptim from its website.
2. Launch the app, then click **Files > Add Files** to import images, or simply drag and drop them.
3. ImageOptim will automatically remove metadata and optimize the images.
4. View file size reduction in the **Savings** column.
5. To undo changes, select the image, then choose **File > Revert to Original**.
You can customize preferences and toggle supported file formats through the *Tools* menu.
**Note:** macOS does not have a native tool for removing all image metadata, but you can remove location data easily in Preview or the Photos app.
**To remove location data in Preview:**
– Open the image in Preview.
– Click the **i** (info) button on the toolbar.
– Go to the **GPS** tab and click **Remove Location Info**.
**To remove location data in Photos:**
– Open the photo.
– Click **Image > Location > Hide Location**.

### Android Users Can Use Photo Exif Editor
Most Android gallery or file manager apps show image metadata but don’t allow removal. For this, try the free **Photo Exif Editor** app.
It offers detailed metadata viewing and lets you selectively remove tags, such as location data, while preserving other information.
**How to use Photo Exif Editor:**
1. Download and install from the Google Play Store.
2. Open the app and grant access to your photos.
3. Tap **Photos** and select the image.
4. Tap the eye icon to view metadata.
5. Tap the EXIF icon in the top-right corner.
6. Check **Select the Tags You Want to Remove** or mark individual tags.
7. Tap the save icon and allow permission to overwrite the image or create a copy with metadata removed.
**Note:** There is no native Android method to remove metadata from photos.

### On an iPhone? Exif Metadata Has You Covered
The iPhone App Store has few third-party apps for metadata removal, but **Exif Metadata** is a reliable, free option. It lets you quickly view, edit, and remove metadata, and includes an extension for in-app viewing within the Photos app.
**How to use Exif Metadata:**
1. Download and install Exif Metadata from the App Store.
2. Open the app and grant Photos access.
3. Tap the **+** button and select an image.
4. View the metadata and tap **Remove All Metadata** or **Remove EXIF** to clear specific info.
5. The app will ask if you want to delete the original photo; confirm or save a copy.
You can also edit metadata manually by choosing **Edit EXIF**, modifying values, and saving.
If you only want to remove location data, the iPhone’s built-in Photos app can do this:
– Open a photo.
– Tap the **i** button.
– Tap **Adjust** next to the location.
– Select **No Location** to clear GPS data.
—
## Final Thoughts
Clearing metadata from your photos is a smart privacy step before sharing on social media or online. However, you don’t always have to remove all metadata entirely.
A good approach is to selectively remove sensitive details like GPS coordinates or personal identifiers while keeping useful information intact.
Choose the method and tool best suited to your device and your needs to strike the perfect balance between privacy and functionality.

‘Pluribus’ Star Rhea Seehorn on Channeling Her Character’s Anger: ‘It’s This Special Quality That Makes Her Different’
After working as a lawyer trying to save Saul Goodman in Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s “Better Call Saul,” it’s now Rhea Seehorn’s turn to save the world in Apple TV’s new sci-fi drama, *Pluribus*.
In *Pluribus*, Seehorn plays Carol Sturka, an author who must save the world from happiness after an unexplained virus is unleashed. Having previously collaborated with Gilligan for seven years on *Better Call Saul*, Seehorn was approached with the opportunity to be the lead in *Pluribus*. Interestingly, the role was originally written for a male lead but was quickly changed to fit Seehorn.
“Vince [Gilligan] is always trying to write without preaching an answer. He does not tell the audience what to think, and he trusts the intelligence of fans,” Seehorn told *Variety* at the *Pluribus* premiere in Los Angeles.
She added, “I feel like for me as a woman specifically playing this role, one thing that I got really interested in was that a woman’s anger is seen as a detriment and having dire consequences. But then, it’s this special quality that makes her different. That was very interesting to me as somebody that suppresses my anger, and I really loved exploring somebody that is impulsive and reactive, and then dealing with the obstacle of being told there are dire consequences.”
Gilligan revealed on the red carpet, “I created *Pluribus* for Rhea Seehorn and because I wanted to work with her again. I was very selfish. I knew that she is such a wonderful actor that people would snap her right up and put her in a movie or a TV show, and I wouldn’t get to work with her for a while.”
During production, Gilligan reunited with previous writers, directors, cinematographers, and other crew members who worked on *Breaking Bad* to help bring the world of *Pluribus* to life.
“I like working with people I worked with before, and I like working with my crew behind the camera too,” he said. “I’ve worked with some of these people for almost 20 years, going back to the beginning of *Breaking Bad,* and they’re just a great bunch of people. To me, it’s like working with a family that you really get along well with.”
Actress Karolina Wydra, who plays Zosia in *Pluribus*, hopes that audiences will identify with and relate to her character as well as to Carol as they navigate a new world based on optimism.
“With Carol, she’s such a strong female character that is a reluctant hero, but she’s a hero who fights for something that she truly believes in. There’s an empowerment in that,” Wydra explained. “For Zosia, her kindness and her sereneness has something inside that is so stunning and beautiful.”
The first two episodes of *Pluribus* are now available to stream on Apple TV.

How to complete Digging Up Dirt quest in Arc Raiders
Digging Up Dirt Quest Walkthrough in Arc Raiders
The Digging Up Dirt quest takes you to the Santa Maria Houses, a hotspot residential building in Arc Raiders. You’ll receive this task from Celeste, who asks you to find and interact with the Dead Drop. The housing complex is located in the Buried City map and is heavily guarded by various types of ARCs. There’s also a shortcut to get inside, which we’ll discuss in this guide. Make sure you’re well-equipped with strong loadouts before heading there.
Digging Up Dirt Quest Objectives
- Locate the Santa Maria Houses in Old Town.
- Locate the Dead Drop inside the courtyard.
Location of the Santa Maria Houses in Old Town
The Santa Maria Houses are situated in the central region of the Buried City map, right next to Plaza Roza. You can quickly mark it on your map before starting your journey to navigate the area more easily.
Since Santa Maria Houses is densely populated, expect to encounter various ARCs, such as Hornets and even Bastions, heavily guarding the site. The main building’s door is sealed, so you cannot enter directly.
However, there is an alternate way inside: climb to the top of the opposite building and then jump onto the adjacent Santa Maria Houses. From there, you can easily access the roof.
Entering the Santa Maria Houses
Once you’re on the roof, look for a vent opening. Use this vent to get inside the building. Be cautious, as two Fireballs roam these areas, and they can pose a significant threat.
Where to Find the Dead Drop
The Dead Drop is located inside the Santa Maria Houses, specifically on the ground floor. After entering, you’ll find a zipline that leads down to the ground floor.
If you are well-equipped with strong weapons, you can destroy the ARC guarding the area with just a few hits. Once the path is clear, interact with the Dead Drop, which appears as a white cylindrical structure.
Interacting with the Dead Drop will conclude the Digging Up Dirt quest.
Additional Tips
- Make sure to loot the residential building thoroughly, as you may find useful items that can help with other quests linked to the same area.
- When you’re done looting, you can extract from the location. The nearest extraction point is the Eastern Station Evac, located just three buildings away.
Rewards for Completing the Digging Up Dirt Quest
Upon completing the quest, you will receive the following rewards:
- 2x Advanced Electrical Components
- 4x Speaker Components

Phillies rumors: Insider links Philadelphia to Angels outfielders in potential trade
The MLB offseason is underway, and the Philadelphia Phillies are looking to improve after falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS. One potential move on the horizon involves targeting outfielders from the Los Angeles Angels, specifically Taylor Ward or Joe Adell, according to MLB insider Jon Morosi.
Morosi noted, “I would say a better than 50/50 chance they (Angels) move one of their significant veteran outfielders,” when discussing the possibility of trades involving Adell and Ward.
Both Adell and Ward are currently in arbitration years, which means the Angels can negotiate terms with them for just one more season. As a result, any team interested in acquiring either outfielder for the 2026 MLB season would need to arrange a trade.
Morosi also highlighted the Phillies’ ongoing efforts to reshape their outfield. “We know that Nick Castellanos probably will get moved, Alec Bohm could get traded, Kyle Schwarber is a free agent, a lot of moving parts with the Phillies, and Harrison Bader is a free agent too. The outfield in Philly is very much a work in progress,” he explained.
With so many potential changes, the Phillies might pursue a trade for one of the Angels’ outfielders to bolster their lineup. However, acquiring either player would likely require giving up some promising prospects.
While the Phillies could still attempt to extend Kyle Schwarber, there is some uncertainty about reaching an agreement. Likewise, Castellanos is frequently mentioned in trade rumors, suggesting the team may be open to a new direction in their outfield construction.
Looking at their recent performances, Joe Adell had a strong 2025 season, hitting .236 with a career-high 37 home runs, 98 RBIs, and an OPS of .778. Taylor Ward also had a solid campaign, batting .228 with 36 home runs, 103 RBIs, scoring 86 runs, and posting an on-base percentage of .317.
Although neither player boasts a high batting average, their power-hitting capabilities make them attractive options for a team like the Phillies looking to add more pop to their lineup.
As the offseason progresses, it will be interesting to see if Philadelphia makes a move for one of these Angels’ outfielders to help reshape their roster heading into 2026.

ARC Raiders: Doctor’s Orders Quest Guide
Doctor’s Orders in ARC Raiders: How to Quickly Find Antiseptic, Syringe, and Great Mullein
Doctor’s Orders is one of those early missions in ARC Raiders that seems simple at first—until you start searching for medical supplies and realize how scarce some of them are. For this quest, you’ll need Antiseptic, a Syringe, and Great Mullein. While some items can be looted, others are usually easier and faster to buy or recycle. Read on to discover everything you need to finish the mission quickly.
Where to Find Antiseptic & Syringe
The most reliable place to start is the Pharmacy in Barrett City. This location appears on the map, but keep in mind that the door must be breached before you can enter. Inside, you’ll find plenty of medical supplies scattered on the shelves, along with a few quest-related items—for example, one linked to a future mission called Reveal in Ruins sitting right on the counter.
Here’s the catch: while the pharmacy is a great place to find Antiseptic, the Syringe doesn’t always spawn there. Many players, myself included, checked multiple times without luck. If this happens to you, don’t worry—saving time is easy by purchasing a Syringe directly from Celeste, a trader in the game.
Pro Tip: Easy Antiseptic Farming
If you’re running low on Antiseptic, try this quick workaround:
- Buy Sterilized Bandages from Lance the Trader in Speranza. These cost around 6,000 credits each.
- Recycle the Sterilized Bandages to receive 2 Antiseptics from each one.
Bonus: Lance even rewards you with 3 more Sterilized Bandages and a few extra materials afterward. This makes it one of the easiest resource loops in the game right now. (You can thank the ARC Raiders community for this useful tip!)
Where to Find Great Mullein
For the herb component of the quest, head over to The Dam Map, specifically to the Testing Annex building. Once inside, go down to the lower floors and look for the flooded area. Great Mullein grows abundantly around the water in clusters.
Be sure to gather as many Great Mullein plants as you can—you might need extras for later quests or crafting.
Wrap-Up
To complete Doctor’s Orders quickly and efficiently, focus on the Barrett City Pharmacy for Antiseptic (or use the purchase and recycle method with Lance’s Sterilized Bandages), buy the Syringe from Celeste if you can’t find one looted, and collect Great Mullein at the flooded Testing Annex area on The Dam Map.
With these tips, you’ll breeze through the mission and be ready for what ARC Raiders throws at you next.
