New Delhi, September 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a veiled jab at Pakistan following Team India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2025 Final held at the Dubai International Stadium. Drawing a comparison to Operation Sindoor, PM Modi highlighted that the outcome remained the same – “India Wins.”
Congratulating the players for their spectacular performance in the high-voltage clash, PM Modi took to his official social media account late Sunday night and tweeted,
“#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers.”
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also extended his congratulations to Team India, saying,
“A billion hearts beat as one tonight! Team India defeats Pakistan to lift the #AsiaCup2025. From the first ball to the final roar, this journey has been about courage, unity & unmatched brilliance. This victory is Bharat’s pride, Bharat’s joy, Bharat’s inspiration.”

India clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title with a confident five-wicket victory in the final. Chasing a target of 147, the Men in Blue faced early setbacks but were steadied by an unbeaten 69 from Tilak Varma. Crucial contributions from Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube further guided the team to a memorable win.
This triumph marked India’s third Asia Cup title against Pakistan and added another prestigious trophy to their already decorated cabinet.
