MANILA, Philippines – Adamson clamped down defensively in the fourth quarter to hold off University of the East, 77-62, in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday.
The Falcons snapped a three-game skid and improved their record to 2-4. However, they nearly squandered a 20-point halftime lead before tightening their defense in the final period to secure the win.
The duel was the first men’s basketball game held in the tournament.
