On Monday, October 27, President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a 111-page appeal challenging his New York conviction following a contentious prosecution led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The appeal was submitted to the New York State Supreme Court.
The legal filing calls for the complete dismissal of what it describes as the “most politically charged prosecution in our Nation’s history.” Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records after a trial in New York. However, the case has been put on hold until 2029, when the 47th president is scheduled to leave office.
A spokesperson for President Trump’s legal team told Fox News Digital,
“President Trump’s legal team filed a powerhouse appeal in the Manhattan DA’s Witch Hunt, as the President continues his fight to put an end to the Radical Democrat Lawfare once and for all.
The Supreme Court’s historic decision on Immunity, the Federal and New York State Constitutions, and other established legal precedent mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately overturned and dismissed.”
