Texas voters pass Prop 1, approving $850 million toward technical education

AUSTIN (Nexstar) – On November 4, Texans voted on the fate of 17 constitutional amendments.

Among the propositions passed is Proposition 1, an important amendment that will provide the Texas State Technical College System (TSTC) with a steady stream of funding.

These funds are designated to support the construction of new buildings, the purchase of equipment, and necessary repairs across the college system.

Prop 1 appears poised to pass by a significant margin, ensuring TSTC can continue to expand and improve its facilities to better serve students and communities throughout Texas.
