Colorado beat UC Davis 95-79 Sunday behind Bangot Dak’s 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting as the Buffaloes pulled away after the Aggies tied it at 54-54 with 13: 27 left. Dak answered with a dunk, Felix Kossaras scored inside and Barrington Hargress finished at the rim to spark a decisive three-possession run. Kossaras added 17 points with two 3s, Sebastian Rancik had 15 points and seven rebounds and Hargress posted 13 points and nine assists as Colorado shot 60 percent from the field and 60 percent from deep. Marcus Wilson scored 21 for UC Davis while Niko Rocak had 19 on 6-of-7 shooting and Nils Cooper added 14 points and nine rebounds as the Aggies hung around until Colorado’s surge settled it.

Pedestrian fatally struck by train

Madera Police Department officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a train in the area of Gateway Drive. and 3rd Street on Tuesday at about 2: 45 p. m. When officers arrived, they found a 52-year-old male, who was deceased, near the railroad tracks. All involved parties were contacted on scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, however there is no indication of foul play.
