Popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, 52, died in Singapore following a scuba diving accident. He was in the city to perform at the North East Festival on September 20. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed on X that after a post-mortem in Singapore, Garg’s body will be returned to Guwahati, with updates to follow.
