The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to introduce changes to a law regulating real estate investment trusts (REITs) next month.
These revisions aim to attract more investors to the growing industry and strengthen the Philippine corporate sector. According to SEC Commissioner McJill Bryant Fernandez, the goal is to make the Philippines “one of the best in Southeast Asia” in this area.
This move reflects the SEC’s commitment to fostering a more investor-friendly environment and supporting the continued growth of REITs in the country.
