‘Will Shut Your Business In Pune’: Gangster Nilesh Ghaywal Threatens Dharashiv Businessman Over WhatsApp Call – Video

A video has been surfacing online showing Pune-based gangster Nilesh Ghaywal threatening a businessman from the Dharashiv district. The incident comes amid reports of Ghaywal’s escape first to London and then allegedly to Switzerland, following police inaction.

In the video, Dinesh, a businessman from Dharashiv, is seen speaking with Ghaywal over a WhatsApp call. During the conversation, Ghaywal appears irked after Dinesh involves MLA Tanaji Sawant. Subsequently, Ghaywal asks Dinesh to visit his residence, abuses him, and threatens to shut down his business operations in Pune.

Following the Kothrud firing incident on September 17, the Pune Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against Nilesh Ghaywal and eight of his aides. Shortly after, Ghaywal fled to London. A Look Out Circular (LOC) has also been issued against him. Authorities are currently investigating how Ghaywal managed to obtain a passport despite having numerous criminal cases filed against him.

Police records reveal that Ghaywal was once an ardent follower of gangster Gaja Marne in the early 2000s. Between 2000 and 2003, Ghaywal and Marne operated together and were involved in killing a criminal, for which they served seven years in prison.

After their release, a dispute over finances and dominance arose between the two, leading to their separation. Since then, both have been focused on strengthening their own gangs independently.
