Gail Fairchild Parker

Gail Fairchild Parker, 78, of Vicksburg, Miss., passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Meridian, MS, in 1947 to Benjamin and Hazel Fairchild, Gail lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and devotion to her family and community. Gail was a fervently caring woman she had a sparkle in her that brightened every room. Generous, thoughtful, and loyal, Gail touched countless lives with her kindness and unwavering faith. She was the best mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, and friend anyone could ask for. She is survived by her husband, Michael Parker, her two children, Craig Stephen Danczyk and Kimberly Danczyk Carroll, and six beloved grandchildren who lovingly called her “Gran Gran.” A true model of Christian faith, Gail dedicated her life to serving Jesus. For over 30 years, she was an active member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church, where she joyfully sang as a talented soprano in the choir and served in numerous ministries. Gail never met a stranger and was never short of a kind word, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. A visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. at Crawford Street United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 1 p. m. at the church with the Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bud Douglas, Phil Thornton, Harry Liggett, Jerry Dean, David Douglas, and Jimmy Turner. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25: 23.
