“You’re one of the nicest” – Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime cherish their friendship after Paris Masters final

Jannik Sinner clinched his maiden Paris Masters title on Sunday, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final of the 2025 edition. Making his first appearance in the tournament final, the Italian emerged victorious with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6(4), marking his 23rd career title.

“You’re one of the nicest people on the tour. If you keep playing like this, you’re for sure gonna have some of this — I’m very sure. I wish you the best for the rest of the season, but also the rest of your career. You’re amazing,” he added.

Auger-Aliassime also reflected on his longstanding friendship with Sinner. He recalled their teenage days, playing video games together, and now sharing the stage at one of the sport’s biggest tournaments.

“It’s never easy to lose in a final. But Jannik, congrats to you and your team. You push all the players and myself to improve and get better. I can only give you credit and tip my hat off to all the improvement since we’ve known each other,” Auger-Aliassime said.

“I think we were playing FIFA when we were 16 or 17. You’re a much better player since then,” he added.

With this victory, Sinner now boasts five Masters 1000 titles, each won at different tournaments, underscoring his versatility and elite status on the ATP Tour.
