Elizabeth Olsen and Molly Gordon are set to star together in a new A24 film, according to a recent report. The movie marks an exciting collaboration, with Gordon taking on multiple roles as co-writer, director, and producer.
The film’s script is co-written by Molly Gordon and Allie Levitan. This project will be Gordon’s second directorial feature, following her 2023 debut with *Theater Camp*, which she co-directed alongside Nick Lieberman.
The story centers around two women in their late twenties, Bobby (played by Molly Gordon) and Millie (played by Elizabeth Olsen). Once the most popular girls in their high school, the pair find themselves feeling like they have accomplished very little since graduation. When they realize they did not receive invitations to their 10-year high school reunion, they decide to crash the event.
Elizabeth Olsen is widely recognized for her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently, she appeared in the 2024 sci-fi thriller *The Assessment* and is also set to star in A24’s upcoming film *Eternity*.
Molly Gordon is known for her performances in the 2019 comedy *Booksmart*, the 2020 film *Shiva Baby*, and her recurring role on FX’s *The Bear*.
Production for this new A24 movie is scheduled to begin in January in New Jersey. As of now, no release date or further casting details have been announced. Fans of both actresses can look forward to this promising collaboration in the near future.
