The Paso Robles Recreation Services Department will offer two opportunities for community members to become certified in first aid, CPR, and the use of an AED for adults, children and infants. Each class is four and a half hours and will take place at Centennial Park at 600 Nickerson Drive in the Live Oak Room from 9: 30 a. m. to 2 p. m. on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. The cost is $100, and qualified participants can use scholarship funds to help cover the fee. “We are thrilled about the opportunity to be able to offer these classes to the community for the first time,” said V. Teeter, aquatics coordinator. “Every person trained and confident in an emergency situation makes our community that much safer.” For information about scholarships or to register, visit prcity. com/recreation or contact Paso Robles Recreation Services at (805) 237-3988 or recservices@prcity. com.

Compass Community Credit Union Supports Two Local Non-Profits
Compass Community Credit Union recently demonstrated its commitment to the local community by supporting two non-profit organizations that make a meaningful impact in Humboldt County.
A donation was presented to the Humboldt Library Foundation to support their bookmobile program, which brings books and literacy resources to residents across the county. Another generous donation was made to Eureka Community Services, providing scholarships for children to attend local camps.
Alison Talbott and Elizabeth Murguia from the Humboldt Library Foundation, along with Jim Thomas and Catherine Cunningham from Eureka Community Services, accepted the checks from Bruce Lund, AVP of Marketing and Retail Banking at Compass Community Credit Union.
“Reading is so important to the people in our community, which is why we wanted to donate to the Humboldt Library Foundation. We are also thrilled to sponsor 11 students to participate in camp this fall,” said Ray Litchfield, President and CEO of Compass Community Credit Union.
The Humboldt Library Foundation, established in 1996, was created to build financial support for the Humboldt County Library system and ensure ongoing access to valuable resources for the entire community.
Eureka Community Services offers campership scholarships for day camps, specifically Camp Cooper and Camp Sequoia, to qualifying families. Funding for these scholarships is limited and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, making this donation especially significant for local families.
Compass Community Credit Union serves members in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or worships within these three counties. For more than 74 years, Compass Community Credit Union has been dedicated to providing financial solutions to its members and supporting local causes.
