Coleman, Bowden lead the way as Lamar moves into second place in Southland beating SE Louisiana

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Robert Coleman threw for a touchdown, and Major Bowden ran for a score as Lamar moved into a second-place tie in the Southland Conference with Southeastern Louisiana. The Cardinals secured a narrow 14-12 victory over the Lions on Saturday.

The Lions had a chance to rally late in the game but turned the ball over on downs during their final drive. Lamar then took possession and managed the clock to preserve their win.
