[UPDATE] Logan Paul on WWE status after retirement confirmation

Former United States Champion Logan Paul recently addressed his WWE status amid his absence from the Stamford-based promotion’s weekly programming. The Maverick hasn’t been seen on TV since Clash in Paris 2025.

Since joining World Wrestling Entertainment in 2022, Logan Paul has become one of the most popular names in the pro wrestling world, largely due to his impressive in-ring performances against some of the biggest stars in the business. His latest outing came against John Cena at Clash in Paris 2025. Although the match ended in favor of the 17-time World Champion, Paul received widespread praise for his performance.

However, since his match in Paris, The Maverick has been absent from Stamford-based programming. Amid this absence, Logan Paul recently uploaded a new YouTube vlog where he spoke candidly about his current focus.

In the video, his friend Mike Majlak asked why he no longer tries to create “the quintessential period” of his vlogging days. Paul replied, “Cause I have a job. I’m a WWE wrestler.” When Mike jokingly asked, “Oh, they have a no vlogging policy?” Logan answered, “No. No. Most of my effort is focused on being in the WWE.”

Mike pointed out that Paul hasn’t been doing much with the company lately, to which Logan revealed, “Yeah, I’m just waiting for the call from Triple H.”

Backstage update on if former WWE stars joining AEW or not – Reports

A new backstage update has surfaced regarding whether All Elite Wrestling (AEW) plans to bring onboard some former WWE stars who were recently released by the Stamford-based promotion.

Since AEW’s founding in 2019, the Jacksonville-based promotion and WWE have been rivals. In its early days, AEW relied heavily on former WWE talent to garner attention and achieve quick success. Over time, however, Tony Khan’s promotion has established stability with a solid core roster. Now, the movement of stars between the two promotions has become more common and functions as a two-way street.

Recently, the futures of four former WWE wrestlers came under the spotlight: Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed (collectively known as the Rascalz), and Wes Lee. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz, currently signed with WWE’s partner company TNA, are nearing the end of their contracts. Wes Lee was released by WWE earlier this month, while Myron Reed has been working independently.

A new report by Fightful clarifies whether these stars will join AEW, and for now, the answer is no. Sean Ross Sapp, in the latest edition of Fightful Select, revealed that AEW has no specific interest at this time in signing the aforementioned talents. However, he noted that this situation could evolve in 2026.

### Tony Khan Takes a Cautious Approach with Ex-WWE Talent

In an earlier report, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp detailed how AEW President Tony Khan has adopted a more meticulous strategy for evaluating free agents who recently left WWE before deciding to bring them into AEW.

In the past, AEW has not shied away from signing former WWE superstars, including high-profile names such as Chris Jericho, Adam Copeland (Edge), Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and CM Punk. However, Sapp mentioned that some signings have presented challenges, with certain wrestlers expressing dissatisfaction with their roles in AEW.

The most notable example is CM Punk’s tenure at All Elite Wrestling, which was marked by controversy and backstage tension, ultimately leading to his termination.

All of these factors have contributed to Tony Khan becoming more selective when it comes to signing wrestlers from WWE, particularly ex-WWE stars.

For now, AEW appears to be focusing on building its roster internally, but the door remains open for future signings as circumstances evolve. Fans will be watching closely to see how this ongoing rivalry between AEW and WWE continues to shape the wrestling landscape.

Saints teamed up with Je’Von Evans, Myles Borne, and Trick Williams to represent WWE’s black and silver brand against TNA Wrestling’s Frankie Kazarian, Leon Slater, Mike Santana, and Moose at the NXT vs. TNA Showdown. Both teams delivered an incredible performance inside the ring, but the bout ultimately ended in favor of Kazarian’s team, resulting in a loss for WWE.

Following these events, Ricky Saints took to Instagram to celebrate a personal milestone. In his post, the 35-year-old revealed that he wrestled his first match fourteen years ago. Reflecting on his journey, Saints shared that despite the highs and lows, he wouldn’t change a thing.

He wrote:
_”I’m a day early, but I had my first match 14 years ago and I’ve never looked back. Thus far, I’ve had an incredible journey with high highs and some low lows, and I wouldn’t change anything. I am who I am because I kept going. May I be blessed to continue for some other odd years. I continue to be the wrestler and man 7-year-old me would enjoy (He loves the pose, prolly). Take every picture and know we all eventually will have to eat sh*t sometime, just make the most of it. It’ll make for a great story over a glass of tequila, I promise #Absolute.”_
