Chicago police share images of vehicle wanted in West Side hit-and-run crash

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are sharing photos of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian last month on the city’s West Side.

The incident occurred on November 21 just after 9 p.m. on Cicero Avenue near Van Buren Street, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).

Authorities say the driver initially stopped to render aid to the injured pedestrian but then fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Nissan Maxima, model year estimated to be between 2016 and 2023.

No arrests have been made so far as Chicago police continue their investigation into the crash.

2 officers hurt, 1 seriously in South Loop crash, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) – Two Chicago police officers were injured in a crash in the South Loop on Saturday night, according to Chicago police.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:41 p.m. in the 2200 block of South State Street. The two CPD officers were heading southbound on State Street when they were struck by a black sedan attempting to turn westbound onto Cermak Avenue.

Both the driver and passenger of the sedan refused emergency medical services at the scene.

One officer was transported to a nearby hospital with a hand injury and is expected to be okay. The second officer was also taken to an area hospital with collar and back injuries and is reported to be in serious condition as of the last update.

Chicago police have issued a citation to the driver of the black car. No further information is currently available.
