Grab Your Coat: Homestead’s Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is Open!
There’s a coat hidden deep in your closet just waiting for a day like this! Homestead’s newest winter attraction has officially arrived, and the city is buzzing with excitement.
Deco’s Alex Miranda stopped by the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink to perfect his triple axel—and if you’re searching for family fun this holiday season, look no further.
Vice Mayor Jenifer Bailey said it best:
“Homestead is where you need to be this December.”
Holiday Cheer in the Heart of Homestead
The city is spreading holiday cheer with its **first annual Winter Wonderland**—a beautiful concept bringing the whole community together.
Jenifer Bailey shared,
“Winter Wonderland is a beautiful concept that came to be in the City of Homestead, where we are offering different experiences for all of our residents to come and enjoy.”
The Biggest Ice Skating Rink in South Florida
The main attraction? A real outdoor ice skating rink right in the heart of Losner Park!
Jenifer Bailey said,
“We have the biggest ice skating rink in South Florida.”
Ice in the Sunshine State?
Ice skating in South Florida sounds impossible, so we had to ask—how does it work?
Jenifer Bailey joked,
“Our ice rink is pretty magical, I’m not sure exactly how it works but I’m pretty sure that Santa Claus himself had something to do with it.”
Located in Losner Park’s center, Vice Mayor Bailey believes this moment is overdue for Homestead.
“It’s the first time, I think, that the deep south is really trying to make sure that we are seen and we are heard and this is an amazing representation of that.”
Everyone’s Loving It!
Guests are already thrilled:
“This is pretty nice. I think it’s fun for the community, fun for the people.”
“We come to this park all the time. Losner Park is great—great restaurants, great life, but an ice skating rink is unheard of!”
No Residency Required!
Best of all, you don’t have to be a Homestead resident to join the fun.
Jenifer Bailey explained,
“Winter Wonderland is especially for our Homestead residents, but it is also an opportunity for us to bring other people to our city.”
