Hamas returns body it says is Israeli soldier killed in 2014

Hamas transferred the body it said was Hadar Goldin’s to the International Red Cross over the weekend after finding his remains in a Rafah tunnel on Saturday. The Red Cross then handed over the body to the Israeli military. Israel is conducting forensic testing in Tel Aviv for final confirmation, according to the Jerusalem Post.

If the body is confirmed to be Goldin’s, Hamas will have returned 24 out of 28 of the hostages. However, the delivery of the bodies of Meny Godard, Ran Gvili, Dror Or, and Sudthisak Rinthalak has stalled. Hamas claims it is struggling to locate remains it says are buried in the rubble of war-torn Gaza.

Speaking at the start of a weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Goldin “fell in a heroic battle during Operation Protective Edge, 11 years ago.”

“His body was abducted by Hamas, which refused to return it throughout this entire period. During all these years, we in the governments of Israel have made great efforts to bring him home. All this time, his family has endured deep anguish, and now they will be able to lay him to rest in the land of Israel,” Netanyahu added.

For each hostage returned, Israel has been releasing the remains of 15 Palestinians.

The first phase of former President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza calls for Hamas to return the remains of all hostages before moving into the second phase of the agreement.

Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the diplomatic team that spearheaded the Gaza ceasefire, are expected to travel to Israel on Monday to discuss closing the first phase and transitioning into the second phase of the peace plan. The second phase includes provisions mandating Hamas’s full disarmament.

The plan calls for a full Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza and offers amnesty to Hamas fighters. In exchange, Hamas must give up its weapons, dismantle its military apparatus, and destroy any terrorist infrastructure in Gaza.

“Hamas has always indicated that they would disarm. They said so to us directly,” Witkoff said during remarks last week at the America Business Forum conference in Miami.

“I hope that they keep their word because if they do, they’ll understand that the development plan that we have for Gaza is really terrific — a lot better than anyone has ever discussed before,” he continued, adding that it will include a “tremendous jobs program.”

Teen behind the Louvre heist ‘Fedora Man’ photo embraces his mystery moment

PARIS — When 15-year-old Pedro Elias Garzon Delvaux realized an Associated Press photo of him at the Louvre on the day of the crown jewels heist had drawn millions of views, his first instinct was not to rush online and unmask himself. Quite the opposite.

A fan of Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot who lives with his parents and grandfather in Rambouillet, 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Paris, Pedro decided to play along with the world’s suspense. As theories swirled about the sharply dressed stranger in the “Fedora Man” shot — detective, insider, AI fake — he decided to stay silent and watch.

“I didn’t want to say immediately it was me,” he said. “With this photo there is a mystery, so you have to make it last.”

For his only in-person interview since that snap turned him into an international curiosity, he appeared for the AP cameras at his home much as he did that Sunday: in a fedora hat, Yves Saint Laurent waistcoat borrowed from his father, jacket chosen by his mother, neat tie, Tommy Hilfiger trousers and a restored, war-battered Russian watch. The fedora, angled just so, is his homage to French Resistance hero Jean Moulin.

In person, he is a bright, amused teenager who wandered, by accident, into a global story.

From Photo to Fame

The image that made him famous was meant to document a crime scene. Three police officers lean on a silver car blocking a Louvre entrance, hours after thieves carried out a daylight raid on French crown jewels. To the right, a lone figure in a three-piece suit strides past — a flash of film noir in a modern-day manhunt.

The internet did the rest. “Fedora Man,” as users dubbed him, was cast as an old-school detective, an inside man, a Netflix pitch or not human at all. Many were convinced he was AI-generated.

Pedro understood why. “In the photo, I’m dressed more in the 1940s, and we are in 2025,” he said. “There is a contrast.” Even some relatives and friends hesitated until they spotted his mother in the background. Only then were they sure: The internet’s favorite fake detective was a real boy.

The Real Story

Pedro, his mother, and grandfather had come to visit the Louvre. “We wanted to go to the Louvre, but it was closed,” he said. “We didn’t know there was a heist.” They asked officers why the gates were shut. Seconds later, AP photographer Thibault Camus, documenting the security cordon, caught Pedro midstride.

“When the picture was taken, I didn’t know,” Pedro said. “I was just passing through.”

Four days later, an acquaintance messaged: Is that you? “She told me there were 5 million views,” he said. “I was a bit surprised.” Then his mother called to say he was famous.

“It’s not every day,” he said. Cousins in Colombia, friends in Austria, family friends and classmates followed with screenshots and calls.

“People said, ‘You’ve become a star,’” he said. “I was astonished that just with one photo you can become viral in a few days.”

An Inspired Style

The look that jolted tens of millions is not a costume whipped up for a museum trip. Pedro began dressing this way less than a year ago, inspired by 20th-century history and black-and-white images of suited statesmen and fictional detectives.

“I like to be chic,” he said. “I go to school like this.” In a sea of hoodies and sneakers, he shows up in a three-piece suit. And the hat? No, that’s its own ritual. The fedora is reserved for weekends, holidays and museum visits.

At his no-uniform school, his style has already started to spread. “One of my friends came this week with a tie,” he said.

He understands why people projected a whole sleuth character onto him: improbable heist, improbable detective. He loves Poirot — “very elegant” — and likes the idea that an unusual crime calls for someone who looks unusual.

“When something unusual happens, you don’t imagine a normal detective,” he said. “You imagine someone different.”

Life and Art

That instinct fits the world he comes from. His mother, Félicité Garzon Delvaux, grew up in an 18th-century museum-palace, daughter of a curator and an artist, and regularly takes her son to exhibits.

“Art and museums are living spaces,” she said. “Life without art is not life.” For Pedro, art and imagery were part of everyday life.

So when millions projected stories onto a single frame of him in a fedora beside armed police at the Louvre, he recognized the power of an image and let the myth breathe before stepping forward.

He stayed silent for several days, then switched his Instagram from private to public. “People had to try to find who I am,” he said. “Then journalists came, and I told them my age. They were extremely surprised.”

He is relaxed about whatever comes next. “I’m waiting for people to contact me for films,” he said, grinning. “That would be very funny.”

In a story of theft and security lapses, “Fedora Man” is a gentler counterpoint — a teenager who believes art, style and a good mystery belong to ordinary life.

One photo turned him into a symbol. Meeting him confirms he is, reassuringly, real.

“I’m a star,” he says, less brag than experiment, as if he’s trying on the words the way he tries on a hat. “I’ll keep dressing like this. It’s my style.”

Democrat Breaks with Party, Backs Trump Admin on Air Traffic Reductions During Shutdown [WATCH]

Democratic Rep. Greg Stanton of Arizona is siding with the Trump administration over its decision to scale back air traffic operations amid the prolonged government shutdown, which has now entered its 38th day, as reported by Fox News.

The reduction in air traffic operations is expected to increase to 10% by November 14 if lawmakers fail to reach a deal to reopen the government. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the order was necessary to “maintain the highest standards of safety” during ongoing staffing shortages caused by the shutdown.

Among the affected airports is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which serves Stanton’s district and is Arizona’s largest airport.

“Safety must always be the highest priority,” Stanton said in a statement Thursday evening. “The decision by Secretary Duffy to reduce flights at America’s 40 busiest airports is the right call for the safety of the flying public,” he added in a post on X.

“Now it’s critical that Republicans and Democrats get together and reach a bipartisan agreement on a plan to reduce health costs and end the shutdown. Arizona deserves better, and so do the hardworking professionals who keep our skies safe.”

The shutdown has furloughed thousands of federal employees, while essential personnel—including air traffic controllers and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers—continue to work without pay. Many have been forced to take second jobs or call out sick, placing additional strain on the transportation system.

In Washington, where two major airports are also affected by the FAA’s order, Democratic leaders are holding firm on demands that any government funding deal include an extension of COVID-19-era enhanced Obamacare subsidies set to expire at the end of the year.

Republicans have rejected tying partisan health care provisions to the budget agreement, arguing that it would further delay reopening the government. Stanton was among the House Democrats who voted against the GOP’s funding proposal when it passed the House on September 19.

His support for the administration’s safety directive now places him at odds with his party’s leadership as bipartisan Senate negotiations continue without a clear resolution in sight.

Hong Kong Sixes 2025: “It’s no surprise…” – Joe Denly heaps praise on once-teammate Shubman Gill’s swift rise [Exclusive]

Little over a month ago, Joe Denly was grinding it out in the County Championship with Kent in Canterbury in a Division Two clash against Lancashire. Fast forward to now, he is in a different corner of the world, leading the England outfit in the 2025 Hong Kong Sixes, which just goes on to show you that modern cricket never ceases to amaze.

As a certified veteran of the game, Joe Denly has nearly experienced all that cricket has to offer. Whether it be the rigors of first-class cricket, featuring for your country across all formats, experiencing franchise cricket, or now even dipping a toe in unconventional formats, it has been quite a journey—from cricket’s purest form to its strangest.

Joe Denly opened up about his upcoming challenge at the Hong Kong Sixes as he leads England, his experience while sharing the dressing room with Shubman Gill in the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL), his thoughts on the upcoming 2025-26 Ashes, and much more. Excerpts from Joe Denly’s exclusive interview with Sportskeeda:

### Q. For nearly everyone, Hong Kong Sixes represents memories of balls just flying out of the park, but is there more to it than just pure slogging? Especially for someone like you who has over 250 first-class games. Could this particular environment be any more different than what you are used to?

**Joe Denly:** I think that the basics of trying to hit sixes do not really change much, and I guess it is about trying to stake your pose at the moment, not looking too far ahead. If you do that, hopefully, that’s a good recipe for doing well.

### Q. You obviously have leadership experience across formats when it comes to conventional cricket. However, what are the different things that you need to keep in mind while leading in such an unorthodox form of cricket? Will you be channelling Bazball for the Hong Kong Sixes?

**Joe Denly:** It’s about trying to have fun, and that is the message I will be relaying to the team. You’re probably going to get hit for a few sixes, and that’s okay. You are coming up against good, quality players on quite a small ground. As a bowler, you have to really back yourself and try to stay in the moment.

As a batter, it’s about trying not to look too far ahead. If you do the basics pretty well, then you should be okay. Ultimately, it’s about keeping the lads relaxed and entertaining the crowd, which hopefully will be well supported.

### Q. You have several youngsters on your side, like Dan Mousley and James Coles, who are future prospects for England. How much do you think a good campaign at the Hong Kong Sixes will help them in their selection and international career, or is it completely irrelevant?

**Joe Denly:** The team that has been selected — the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) have certainly played a part in that. These are guys who are very highly thought of in England, kind of on the cusp of white-ball selection.

They were probably unlucky not to be involved with the England Lions this winter, so I am sure selectors will be keeping an eye on this competition and seeing how those guys perform. Hopefully, they can put in some really strong performances. You never know — you might even get a late call-up to some squad later this winter.

### Q. On your IPL debut, you opened with none other than Shubman Gill. Were there any early signs that he would reach where he is now? What were your observations about this prodigal player who was just looking to make his mark at the time?

**Joe Denly:** Shubman was certainly a young player with an abundance of talent. Very calm character, so it’s no surprise that he has gone on to achieve what he has.

He’s very highly thought of in India and around the world. He continues to impress, and that comes as no surprise. Unfortunately, I did open the batting with him, but I only lasted one ball, sadly, so I didn’t get a chance to build a partnership.

It’s great to see what he is achieving now — he’s going to be a superstar for many years.

### Q. Is there anything in particular that you fondly recall from that IPL season, given that you shared the dressing room with players like Rinku Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Prasidh Krishna, who are all part of the Indian squad now?

**Joe Denly:** It was an incredible couple of months in India—just to experience the IPL, the atmosphere, and the excitement wherever you travelled.

I shared the dressing room with some Indian stars who are still playing now. Very fond memories. I always enjoy keeping track of their progress; it’s great to see them perform on the world stage.

### Q. As one of the few active players who has played the game for over two decades, what are your thoughts on how the game has changed and where it is headed? How much has this rapid change affected your career?

**Joe Denly:** Nowadays, young players coming into the game are completely fearless. When I started, it was about scoring hundreds and batting for long periods.

Now, it has kind of flipped — you still look to score runs, of course, but also to entertain. There’s absolutely no fear of failure.

The shots people play now, all around the ground and 360 degrees, are incredible. I grew up trying to play straight down the ground with a high elbow and solid balance, but now guys even in Test cricket are flicking it over fine leg and reverse scooping — really taking the game on.

It makes for a great watch and a great brand of cricket. It’s not just England labelled with Bazball; teams have been playing like this for a long time. It’s great to see and great to watch. The game of cricket is just getting better and better.

### Q. We recently saw James Anderson extend his contract with Lancashire. Do you plan to extend your career as long as he has?

**Joe Denly:** Not sure. I turn 40 next year, so as long as I’m still enjoying it and having an impact on the field—performing and trying to win games for Kent—then who knows?

It also depends on staying fit. Red-ball cricket might not be my focus over the next few years; probably more T20 cricket and maybe a little coaching as well. I’m not sure I’ll be playing into my mid-40s like Jimmy Anderson, but you never know!

### Q. You have been in the thick of action when it comes to the Ashes. Do you believe this is England’s best shot in a long time? For several players this is their first time on Australian soil; what advice would you have for them?

**Joe Denly:** We certainly have a very good squad going out there. People say it’s our best chance in a long while—I remember playing in the 2019 Ashes series, and I never once thought we couldn’t win.

The teams have changed a lot since then, with quite a few new faces, but England definitely has a great chance.

This is an exciting team, brilliantly led by Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. There has been quite a lot of chatter, as you’d expect, with Australians critiquing the way we play—the Bazball style and everything.

It’s going to be a really intriguing series to watch, and I can’t wait for it to get started.

Joe Denly’s journey—from traditional cricket to embracing modern and unconventional formats—reflects the evolving nature of the game, while his leadership and experience continue to inspire the next generation of cricketers.

USD/JPY consolidates around 153.60 amid divergence – BBH

USD/JPY remains around 153.60 as Japan’s on-hold policy stance keeps the pair elevated despite yield-based valuation concerns, BBH FX analysts report.

Japan’s Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs, Atsushi Mimura, highlighted that USD/JPY is trading above the level implied by US-Japan bond yield differentials. “We agree,” the analysts noted.

However, the Bank of Japan’s on-hold policy stance means this divergence is unlikely to close anytime soon.

The swaps market continues to see a 50% chance of a December 25 basis points rate hike to 0.75%, with a full 25 basis points move priced in for January or March.

UPS plane crashes on takeoff from Louisville, Kentucky, airport, igniting huge fire on ground

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A UPS plane crashed on takeoff from Louisville International Airport in Kentucky, igniting a large fire on the ground, officials said Tuesday.

The aircraft was departing for Honolulu when the crash occurred. Police responded to reports of the incident near the airport, specifically at the intersection of Fern Valley Road and Grade Lane, located at the southern edge of the airport.

The Louisville Metro Police Department confirmed injuries were reported in a social media post. Photos shared on social media showed a massive plume of black smoke rising into the sky.

Louisville’s police department posted on X that there was fire and debris at the scene and urged the public to stay clear of the area. Additionally, a shelter-in-place order was issued within a 5-mile (8-kilometer) radius of the airport.

Video footage from local television stations showed a large trail of flames and a thick plume of smoke extending from a parking lot as fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.

45yo woman marries a 300yo ghost, calls it an intimate relationship. 10 months later, she had to get an exorcism

In 2018, 45-year-old Amanda Teague from Northern Ireland made headlines worldwide when she married the ghost of an 18th-century pirate during a ceremony at sea. Amanda called the specter her soulmate but later accused him of trying to “kill” her.

Amanda spent years as a Jack Sparrow impersonator at festivals, but her fascination with pirates soon evolved into something more mysterious. She claimed to have married the ghost of a 300-year-old Haitian pirate named Jack in a private ceremony held in international waters in February 2018.

### How Did Amanda Teague and Jack’s Relationship Begin?

Amanda’s connection with Jack began long before the boat ceremony. After losing her son in 2010, she turned to spirituality in search of answers and discovered what she described as a “link to the other side.” Five years later, she said Jack “presented himself” to her.

“At first, it was several months before I actually believed he was who he said he was,” Amanda explained. “Because it’s very hard to verify if a spirit is telling you the truth when their directory is three hundred years.”

Months passed, and Amanda eventually accepted Jack’s identity. The two began communicating frequently. She told interviewers that she and Jack married through a medium who relayed his consent, as a ghost obviously cannot sign legal paperwork. Amanda stressed that the physical body “isn’t really important” to her, describing their connection as “more about the energy” and “intimate rather than physical.”

### Why Did Amanda End the Marriage with Jack?

However, within months, Amanda noticed troubling changes. “The first time I noticed anything wrong was a couple of months after we got married. My house just kept getting worse and worse to the point that I ended up with sepsis and almost died,” she revealed.

According to Amanda, Jack was using her as a source of energy. She claimed he refused to “accept his own death” and wanted to continue living through her. After her sepsis operation, Amanda realized that Jack intended to harm her.

To rid herself of the ghost, she underwent an exorcism in December 2018. “It took me a while to figure out that it was definitely him who was doing it, and that he intended to harm me. So, when I realized that he did, I ended up having an exorcism,” she said.

By the end of 2018, Amanda publicly declared that the marriage was over. While admitting, “In a way, yes, I do regret it,” she remained philosophical about her unusual experience. She said it gave her many lessons and noted, “everything happens for a reason.”

### Fact-Checking the Story

Fact-checkers confirmed that the wedding ceremony did take place as Amanda described but emphasized there was no legal recognition of the marriage in Ireland or anywhere else because marrying a ghost is not a legalized form of marriage.

Amanda Teague’s story has since become a blend of modern ghost tale and viral folklore, captivating audiences fascinated by the paranormal and the extraordinary boundaries of love and belief.

WWE Fans May Face Disappointment With 2026 Royal Rumble

The annual **Royal Rumble** event is one of WWE’s most exciting shows, largely due to the tradition of surprise entrants in its signature battle royal matches. However, any surprises planned for the Royal Rumble next year may not be much of a surprise by the time the show happens.

According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, the location of the 2026 event is the primary cause for concern. With WWE’s annual event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this coming January, any surprises set to take place on the show would be logistically difficult to keep under wraps.

“There is a feeling that we might not get Royal Rumble surprises this year if only for the fact that sneaking people into Saudi Arabia will be a lot harder,” Alvarez writes. The logistics of coordinating international travel, visas, and hotel accommodations for a secret guest are far more complex than hiding someone domestically.

Alvarez suggests a potential alternative for where fans might see these big moments. “Most likely surprises would take place the week prior at SNME,” he notes.

This aligns with WWE’s recent scheduling announcements. The company confirmed over the weekend that it will be heading to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for a January edition of **Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME)**. This show will take place just one week prior to Royal Rumble weekend.

The Royal Rumble itself will be held for the first time ever in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking another major international stadium show for the company.

Surprises are a fundamental and commonplace part of both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches, often serving as the most talked-about moments of the night. These entrants can range from returning legends to main roster comebacks from injury, or even crossover appearances from other promotions.

### Notable Surprises from Last Year’s Royal Rumble

Last year’s Royal Rumble event in January 2025 highlighted just how important these surprises can be. The show featured the returns of Alexa Bliss and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. It also included shocking appearances from streamer iShowSpeed, Joe Hendry from TNA, and Jordynne Grace.

Grace’s appearance was particularly noteworthy, as she had previously appeared in a Royal Rumble as the TNA Knockouts Champion but entered the 2025 match having just officially signed with WWE.

If Alvarez’s report holds true, WWE may opt to use the Montreal Saturday Night’s Main Event as the stage for these big returns. This would allow the company to generate buzz and add confirmed star power to the Rumble matches themselves, rather than relying on the element of surprise at the event in Riyadh.

### Official Dates and Locations

WWE has officially confirmed the dates for its upcoming international events:

– **Saturday Night’s Main Event:** Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
– **Royal Rumble:** Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This scheduling could mark a new approach to surprise appearances, given the added challenges of international logistics.

Milap Zaveri REACTS calmly to Mastiii 4 trailer being called “crap”: “Respect your opinion”

The trailer of *Mastiii 4*, the latest installment of the cult comedy franchise, dropped today (November 4, 2025), and within minutes, it stirred mixed reactions across social media.

While long-time fans of the series rejoiced at the reunion of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, others expressed discomfort over its bold, adult-themed humour.

**Milap Zaveri Reacts Calmly to Mastiii 4 Trailer Being Called “Crap”: “Respect Your Opinion”**

The trailer, which marks the return of director Milap Milan Zaveri to the comedy space, faced sharp criticism from a section of netizens for its language and suggestive scenes. One journalist called the trailer “ridiculous,” quoting a dialogue to highlight what they felt was a lack of sensitivity.

Responding to the criticism, Zaveri took a measured and respectful approach. Replying directly to the journalist, he wrote, “Respect your opinion bhai. Hopefully audiences will enjoy it,” indicating that he was unfazed by the negative comments and confident in the film’s entertainment value.

Social media reactions, however, remained divided. While some users questioned the film’s tone, others drew parallels to Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming historical drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, suggesting the actor may face contrasting audience expectations.

Despite the online chatter, the makers are optimistic. Backed by Zee Studios and Waveband Production in association with Maruti International and Balaji Motion Pictures, *Mastiii 4* is being pitched as the “biggest comedy entertainer of the year.”

The film also stars Shreya Sharma, Ruhii Singh, and Elnaaz Norouzi alongside the main trio, with special appearances by Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor. Shot across the UK and Mumbai, the film promises four times the humour, chaos, and nostalgia that made the franchise a fan favourite.

*Mastiii 4* is slated to hit theatres on November 21, 2025.
