**Tragic Incident in Tikamgarh: Woman Found Hanging, Son Recovered from Pond**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday, the body of a missing woman was found hanging from a tree, while that of her three-year-old son was recovered from a pond near a temple in Tikamgarh.

According to Baldeogarh police station in-charge Priti Bhargava, the deceased, 27-year-old Santoshi Rajput, a resident of village Kelapur in Baldevgarh, left home with her son, Abhijeet, on Saturday evening. Earlier that day, she had a quarrel with her husband, Naresh Rajput, over financial and family issues.

Around 4 pm, Santoshi left with her son, leaving behind their five-year-old daughter. She was last seen near the Vindhyasni Mata temple around 5 pm, but without the boy.

On Sunday morning, villagers discovered the bodies of both mother and child — Santoshi hanging from a tree and Abhijeet found in a pond adjoining the temple. They immediately informed the police.

Eyewitnesses reported that Santoshi was drenched when last seen walking near the temple. Based on this, police suspect that she drowned her son in the pond before walking approximately three kilometers and hanging herself.

The police have taken custody of the bodies, registered a case, and launched an investigation into the matter.

Further information reveals that Santoshi had a tumultuous married life. She had recently been brought back to her marital home from her parents’ residence after a dispute with her husband.

The community mourns this tragic loss as authorities continue to probe into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
