EXCLUSIVE: Jeffrey Epstein Was ‘Confident’ He Would Get a Presidential Pardon From Trump — and Lashed Out Behind Bars With ‘Threats’ When He Was Denied Freedom, Famed Author Claims

Nov. 21 2025, Published 6:40 p.m. ET A cocky Jeffrey Epstein was sure his friend and pal Donald Trump would grant him a pardon from his sex crimes and set him free, RadarOnline.com can reveal. When he didn’t, the pedophile became enraged, and allegedly “threatened” some of his past victims. Epstein and Trump were once good friends. The two ran in elite Manhattan social circles from the 80s into the 2000s. The sex offender’s home in Palm Beach was also a short drive from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, where he was a frequent guest. A resurfaced video from 1992 shows the two men at the club, laughing and pointing out women on the dance floor. So when Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on sex-trafficking charges, investigative reporter and biographer Andrew Lownie said the financier was confident his buddy Trump would use his presidential power as a “get out of jail free” card. “The two had been pretty close; they hadn’t totally parted company,” Lownie shared. “Whether Epstein was justified in thinking this… he kind of thought that he had everyone sewn up, and that Trump would pardon him.” Conflicting Breakup Stories But after the arrest, Trump quickly cut ties with Epstein, telling reporters at the time, “I was not a fan. I had a falling out with him a long time ago.” This came as a shock to the wealthy businessman, who was known to splash large amounts of money on lavish dinner parties for his friends – sometimes with allegedly nefarious outcomes. Lownie said Epstein wasn’t used to being told “no.” “He’d always been able to get out of any of the problems he faced, with smart lawyers and a bit of money and his connections,” Lownie argued, adding that Epstein did not take the rejection well. “When he was told that wouldn’t happen, I was told he made all sorts of threats,” Lownie claimed. “He threatened some of the victims. He threatened Sarah Ferguson. “He could be pretty intimidating.” Epstein Dumped Trump Author Michael Wolff, who exposed Trump in his book Fire and Fury, said Epstein and Trump were practically the same, until they weren’t. “Epstein knew him, really, I think, better than most,” Wolff stated. “I mean, this was a true BFF situation: two playboys very much styling themselves as playboys in that (Hugh) Hefner sense, who palled around for the better part of 15 years.” However, Wolff reports the friendship fell apart in 2004, after the future president “went around Epstein’s back and bid $40million” for the Maison de L’Amitie, an estate neighboring Mar-a-Lago, when he knew the sex creep had eyes on the property. “He was really, really, really pissed,” Wolff claimed Epstein had expressed to him. Trump’s Version of Events Trump has a different memory of events, insisting he was the one to cut ties. Earlier this year, Trump claimed he had Epstein booted from Mar-a-Lago after learning his employees were being “stolen” from his spa. He explained: “People that work in the spa, I have a great spa, one of the best spas in the world at Mar-a-Lago, and people were taken out of the spa, hired by (Epstein). In other words, gone. And other people would come and complain, ‘This guy is taking people from the spa.’ I didn’t know that.” The politician continued: “And then when I heard about it, I told him. I said, ‘Listen, we don’t want you taking our people.’ Whether it was a spa or not a spa, I don’t want him taking people. And he was fine. “Then, not too long after that, he did it again, and I said, ‘out of here.'”

House votes overwhelmingly to force release of Epstein files, sending bill to Senate

WASHINGTON — The House voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bill Tuesday to force the Justice Department to publicly release its files on the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a remarkable display of approval for an effort that had struggled for months to overcome opposition from President Donald Trump and Republican leadership. When a small, bipartisan group of House lawmakers introduced a petition in July to maneuver around House Speaker Mike Johnson’s control of which bills reach the House floor, it appeared a longshot effort — especially as Trump urged his supporters to dismiss the matter as a “hoax.” But both Trump and Johnson failed in their efforts to prevent the vote. Now the president has bowed to the growing momentum behind the bill and even said he will sign it if it also passes the Senate. Moments after the House vote, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said his chamber will act swiftly on the bill. The bill passed the House 427-1, with the only no vote coming from Rep. Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican who is a fervent supporter of Trump. He said in a statement that he opposed the bill because it could release information on innocent people mentioned in the federal investigation. The decisive, bipartisan work in Congress Tuesday further showed the pressure mounting on lawmakers and the Trump administration to meet long-held demands that the Justice Department release its case files on Epstein, a well-connected financier who killed himself in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial in 2019 on charges he sexually abused and trafficked underage girls. “These women have fought the most horrific fight that no woman should have to fight. And they did it by banding together and never giving up,” said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as she stood with some of the abuse survivors outside the Capitol Tuesday morning. “That’s what we did by fighting so hard against the most powerful people in the world, even the president of the United States, in order to make this vote happen today,” added Greene, a Georgia Republican and longtime Trump loyalist. The bill’s passage would be a pivotal moment in a yearslong push by the survivors for accountability for Epstein’s abuse and reckoning over how law enforcement officials failed to act under multiple presidential administrations. A separate investigation conducted by the House Oversight Committee has released thousands of pages of emails and other documents from Epstein’s estate, showing his connections to global leaders, Wall Street powerbrokers, influential political figures and Trump himself. In the United Kingdom, King Charles III stripped his disgraced brother Prince Andrew of his remaining titles and evicted him from his royal residence after pressure to act over his relationship with Epstein. The bill forces the release within 30 days of all files and communications related to Epstein, as well as any information about the investigation into his death in federal prison. It would allow the Justice Department to redact information about Epstein’s victims or continuing federal investigations, but not information due to “embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity.” Trump’s reversal on the Epstein files Trump has said he cut ties with Epstein years ago, but tried for months to move past the demands for disclosure. Still, many in the Republican base have continued to demand the release of the files. Adding to that pressure, survivors of Epstein’s abuse rallied outside the Capitol Tuesday morning. Bundled in jackets against the November chill and holding photos of themselves as teenagers, they recounted their stories of abuse. “We are exhausted from surviving the trauma and then surviving the politics that swirl around it,” said one of the survivors. Another, Jena-Lisa Jones, said she had voted for Trump and had a message for the president: “I beg you Donald Trump, please stop making this political.” The group of women also met with Johnson and rallied outside the Capitol in September, but have had to wait months for the vote. That’s because Johnson kept the House closed for legislative business for nearly two months and refused to swear-in Democratic Rep. Adelita Grijalva of Arizona during the government shutdown. After winning a special election on Sept. 23, Grijalva had pledged to provide the crucial 218th vote to the petition for the Epstein files bill. But only after she was sworn into office last week could she sign her name to the discharge petition to give it majority support in the 435-member House. It quickly became obvious the bill would pass, and both Johnson and Trump began to fold. Trump on Sunday said Republicans should vote for the bill. Yet Greene told reporters that Trump’s decision to fight the bill had betrayed his Make America Great Again political movement. “Watching this turn into a fight has ripped MAGA apart,” she said. How Johnson is handling the bill Rather than waiting until next week for the discharge position to officially take effect, Johnson held the vote under a procedure that requires a two-thirds majority. But Johnson also spent a morning news conference listing off problems that he sees with the legislation. He argued that the bill could have unintended consequences by disclosing parts of federal investigations that are usually kept private, including information on victims. “This is a raw and obvious political exercise,” Johnson said. Still, he voted for the bill. “None of us want to go on record and in any way be accused of not being for maximum transparency,” he explained. Meanwhile, House Democrats celebrated the vote as a rare win. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries described it as “a complete and total surrender.” Senate plans to act quickly Even as the bill cleared his chamber, Johnson pressed for the Senate to amend the bill to protect the information of “victims and whistleblowers.” But Senate Majority Leader John Thune showed little interest in that notion, saying he doubted that “amending it is going to be in the cards.” Thune said he would quickly assess senators’ views on the bill to see if there were any objections. He said the bill could be brought forward in the Senate as soon as Tuesday evening and almost certainly by the end of the week. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer also indicated he would attempt to pass the bill Tuesday. “The American people have waited long enough,” he said. Meanwhile, the bipartisan pair who sponsored the bill, Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., warned senators against doing anything that would “muck it up,” saying they would face the same public uproar that forced both Trump and Johnson to back down. “We’ve needlessly dragged this out for four months,” Massie said, adding that those raising problems with the bill “are afraid that people will be embarrassed. Well, that’s the whole point here.”

EXCLUSIVE DETAILS: Arizona Dad’s Oldest Daughter, 17, ‘Knew He Would Commit Suicide’ Before Prison — After He Accepted Plea Deal For Causing Death of Toddler He Left in Boiling Car

Nov. 7 2025, Published 6:36 p.m. ET The eldest daughter of an Arizona man who killed himself just before he was due to report to prison for the death of of his 2 year old toddler said she wasn’t surprised he “took the easy way out,” RadarOnline.com can report. Christopher Scholtes had agreed to a plea deal accepting the blame for the child’s death, after he “forgot” she was baking outdoors in her car seat while he was inside his home getting drunk and surfing for porn. Scholtes Committed Suicide Scholtes took his own life Tuesday night. He was scheduled to report to prison the following morning. The 38-year-old also shares 10-year-old and 6-year-old daughters with his current wife and has a 17-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. The teen, who has a two-year-old toddler of her own, lives with a guardian away from her dad, after her biological mother died last year. The guardian, Lindsay Eisenberg, said when she told the girl what happened, she was emotionless. “She said, ‘I knew he was going to do this, I knew he was going to commit suicide’. Then she asked if her sisters were OK,” Eisenberg told the Daily Mail. The Teen had Just Sued Her Dad and Stepmother The teen, who was estranged from her dad, had accused Scholtes of abuse multiple times in the past. And just last week, she filed a lawsuit against him and his current wife, Erika, for emotional distress. She was also seeking damages over her half-sister’s death, according to the complaint. Scholtes was previously investigated nine times on allegations of neglect, as well as physical and emotional abuse against the girl, between June 2014 and December 2020. Among the allegations were reports that he would slap the child and spank her, leaving bruises on her body. In one instance, Scholtes allegedly “slapped the child, causing them to lose their breath,” and left the child to “manage their diabetes without parental oversight.” Accusations of Emotional and Physcal Abuse Other reports detailed accusations of verbal abuse, including using derogatory names. A report also claimed Scholtes “yells at the child excessively and tells the child things to break them mentally, such as calling them by foul names and referring to them as ‘a mistake.'” The girl was said to have been experiencing “suicidal ideation due to their father and stepmother treating them differently than the other children in the home and calling the child names.” However, in every one of the cases, the allegations were eventually deemed unsubstantiated, as there was not enough evidence to support them. Instead, “the child was assessed as safe in Mr. Scholtes’ home,” and “the family was provided with information on services available in the community and the case was closed.” Scholtes Left His Daughter to Die As RadarOnline.com has reported, Scholtes left his youngest child in the car after running some errands and returning home. Prosecutors said the father-of-three cracked open a few beers he shoplifted earlier in the day, played some video games, and searched for porn on his PlayStation – all while his toddler daughter, Parker, was still in her car seat. He later admitted he was aware that the car engine in his vehicle turns off after 30 minutes, at which point there would be no air conditioning. Medical examiners said temperatures in the 2003 Acura climbed as high as 109 degrees over the three hours Parker was trapped inside.

Alleged ‘764’ Cult Follower Charged With Child Sex Crime Amid Crackdown On Terror Network

Federal prosecutors on Monday charged a 19-year-old California man linked to the extremist “764” cult with a string of crimes, including child sexual exploitation, animal abuse, and online threats.

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of California indicted Tony Christopher Long on six felony counts, including sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child sexual abuse material, cyberstalking, and transmitting interstate threats, according to the press release. Long remains in state custody on related charges.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Long’s alleged crimes highlight the brutality of the “764” movement.

“This defendant allegedly engaged in acts of extreme cruelty by exploiting a child, abusing animals, and threatening violence. His conduct reflects the depravity of ‘764,’” Bondi said. “These networks seek to terrorize and destabilize our communities by preying on the most vulnerable, and the Justice Department will stop at nothing to dismantle this network and bring offenders to justice.”

FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency is pursuing the case aggressively.

“The FBI has no tolerance for anyone who preys on children or other vulnerable members of society,” Patel said. “This defendant allegedly targeted juveniles, took part in animal crushing, and was part of a violent online network which seeks to sow chaos and destabilize our society. The FBI will work with our law enforcement partners to investigate and hold accountable anyone who engages in such reprehensible and illegal activity.”

If convicted, Long faces up to 30 years in federal prison for sexual exploitation of a minor and additional decades for the remaining charges.

Court documents describe Long as a member of “764,” a Nihilistic Violent Extremist group that seeks to destroy social order through chaos, violence, and the exploitation of vulnerable victims, including minors.

The FBI previously indicted a man known as “White Tiger,” who allegedly persuaded a 13-year-old girl in Washington to take her own life on behalf of a cult-like group. German prosecutors charged him with hundreds of crimes, including murder and widespread child exploitation, tied to an international campaign of online abuse targeting more than 30 victims.

Trump warns New Jersey faces hotbed of crime, skyrocketing energy prices if Mikie Sherrill elected

President Trump issued a strong warning to New Jersey voters early Monday, cautioning that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill would transform the Garden State into a hotspot of crime, soaring energy prices—and “HEARTACHE!”

In an early morning post on Truth Social, the former president criticized both Sherrill and Virginia’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Abigail Spanberger, urging voters to swing right this election season.

“Why would anyone vote for New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial candidates, Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger, when they want transgender for everybody, men playing in women’s sports, high crime, and the most expensive energy prices almost anywhere in the world?” Trump questioned.

He continued, “VOTE REPUBLICAN for massive energy cost reductions, large-scale tax cuts, and basic common sense!”

Highlighting his administration’s energy policies, Trump claimed, “Under President Trump, ME, gasoline will come down to approximately $2 a gallon, very soon! With the Democrats, you’ll be paying $4, $5, and $6 a gallon, and your electric and other energy costs will, likewise, SOAR.”

The former commander-in-chief emphasized that voters in New Jersey and beyond would enjoy “a great and very affordable life” if Republican candidates prevail in the upcoming election.

“All you’ll get from voting Democrat is unrelentingly high crime, energy prices through the roof, men playing in women’s sports, and HEARTACHE!” he added.

This latest salvo follows prior attacks by Trump against Sherrill throughout her campaign. Over the weekend, as early in-person voting began in New Jersey, he labeled her a “corrupt radical left Democrat,” declaring, “She’ll be a travesty as the governor of New Jersey.”

Despite Trump’s criticisms, Sherrill currently holds a five-point lead over Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli, standing at 50% to 45% in the latest Rutgers-Eagleton poll of likely voters.

EXCLUSIVE: Meet Madeleine McCann’s Twin Siblings — And How They Have Carved Out Their Own Lives Amid Tragedy

Oct. 24, 2025, Published 7:15 p.m. ET

Madeleine McCann’s twin siblings, Sean and Amelie, have lived most of their lives under the long shadow of one of the world’s most haunting mysteries. Now 20, RadarOnline.com can reveal the pair have quietly emerged as accomplished young adults – carving out their own paths while preserving the hope that has defined their family since Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007.

Growing Up in the Shadow of Loss

When Madeleine vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, her brother and sister were only two years old, asleep in the same room.

In the 17 years since, parents Kate and Gerry McCann have fought an unrelenting campaign to keep the search alive, while protecting their younger children from the glare of global media.

This week, the twins’ lives briefly intersected again with the case that has defined their family, as they gave evidence in the trial of two women accused of stalking the McCanns.

A family friend said: “Kate and Gerry were determined that the twins would have a real childhood, not one defined by what happened to their sister. They’ve done everything they can to make sure Sean and Amelie grow up as their own people, not just as part of the tragedy.”

Kate, now 57, has previously spoken about the challenge of balancing that normality with the protective instincts born from trauma. She gave up her job as a GP to be at home full-time. Writing in her memoir Madeleine: Our Daughter’s Disappearance and the Continuing Search for Her, she revealed how difficult it was to trust anyone else to look after them.

“They have their own friends and they keep busy and they’re really sporty,” she writes. “But their only wish is for their big sister to come home.”

Sean McCann’s Drive and Determination

That sense of routine, family, and purpose has carried the twins into adulthood. Sean, a promising freestyle swimmer, has competed in open-water events across Europe and is said to be targeting a place at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

He is studying chemical engineering at university, juggling academic work with a grueling training schedule.

A sports source claimed: “He’s unbelievably disciplined – in the pool before most people are even awake. That routine has been his anchor since childhood, a way of staying focused through everything the family has endured.”

Amelie McCann’s Quiet Strength

Amelie, meanwhile, has pursued her own interests, taking part in triathlons and cross-country competitions while studying at a northern university.

A close family acquaintance said: “Amelie’s strong-willed and quietly confident, with a real sense of empathy. She doesn’t seek attention and keeps a tight circle, but her bond with her parents is unshakable.”

The twins have largely stayed out of public view, though Amelie made a rare appearance at a vigil for Madeleine last year, telling the crowd, “It’s nice that everyone is here together, but it’s a sad occasion.”

Her composure was widely noted – a quiet reflection of the resilience the McCanns have always tried to instill.

Living Beyond the Tragedy

Kate’s uncle, Brian Kennedy, said recently the family is proud of how Sean and Amelie have flourished.

“They’re making their own way in life,” he said. “Kate and Gerry couldn’t ask for more.”

Yet psychologists say the weight of growing up amid such tragedy can never be entirely escaped. Dr. Audrey Tang, a chartered psychologist, said, “You’ve got all this narrative going on around them that they’re not necessarily able to process. And they’ve actually lost their sister; they’ve been through something awful.”

For all the attention that continues to surround the McCanns, their twins have managed to do what once seemed impossible – to live, quietly and determinedly, beyond the tragedy that changed their family forever.
