Remembering the many visits with Thailand’s Queen Mother Sirikit

**Farewell to Thailand’s Gem**

The longer you live, the more friends you have to say goodbye to.

A lifetime ago, in Bangkok’s Chitralada Palace garden, I met Her Stunningly Gorgeous Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. She had a tiny, perfect figure, ebony black hair, and a face like marble. Swathed in Thai silk, she was the embodiment of elegance. Over the years, we stayed friends.

She left us last week.

We shared many visits—sometimes I was there, sometimes she was here. Once, as we sat in the sweltering sun, she told me in her excellent accented English, “Due to my country’s blessed weather, I have no lines in my face. It is because I perspire so often. This is what keeps my skin smooth.”

Over the years, we did things for one another. She wished for Bloomingdale’s to open a Thai department to sell her country’s handicrafts and exquisite Thai silk. I would conduct interviews there, and she’d invite me to her parties here.

We first met in 1961. That’s a long friendship.

During my time on TV news, she granted me an exclusive one-on-one sit-down interview. I specifically wore a white Thai silk suit to honor her. The interview took place in a suite at the Plaza Hotel, where the Thai contingent was staying. In walks Her Majesty, flanked by more than just the Thai army—and what was she wearing? A stunning white Thai silk suit. She certainly wouldn’t change clothes, and asking me to go home to change would have taken too long.

I wanted to shoot myself—but that wouldn’t have been necessary because her staff would have done it for me.

Another memorable moment was a dinner she planned in my honor in upcountry Chiang Mai. I had just stepped off the plane, my hair a mess like it had been “ripped off a camel’s behind.” Wearing a big floppy hat to protect myself from the sun, I was chauffeured directly to the banquet without stopping at a hotel to freshen up.

Seated next to Her Majesty at a tightly packed table, nerves got the better of me—I dropped a utensil. Although seventy-five servants would have eagerly retrieved it, I foolishly bent down to pick it up myself. In doing so, my wide straw hat brim scraped Her Majesty’s face. She paid it no mind, but I could swear half the soldiers with bayonets in place were ready to shoot me.

Among her gifts to me were a handmade, woven dark straw basket evening bag, lined with Thai silk, featuring an 18-karat gold handle and trimmed with diamonds. I still have it. Another gift was a brooch—a 24-karat gold beetle with actual beetle wings laminated on its sides. When I asked why, she said, “Because beetles are earth’s longest lasting creatures.” I still treasure that as well.

What did she want from me? A small drugstore packet of Kleenex.

My last time with her was during Thailand’s massive tsunami disaster. People were washed away, homes destroyed, lives lost. My friend Geoffrey Weill—one of the world’s most successful travel experts—and I had two longtime close South African friends, young teenage sisters, who were missing. We were frantic.

I flew with Geoffrey to Thailand. Queen Sirikit assigned us a high-ranking air force officer who commandeered an army plane. We flew to Phuket, where the Israeli army, experienced in handling death, was in charge of the recovery of bodies and severed parts. One of our friends had a South African map tattooed on her side, which helped identify her.

After that, Her Majesty was not well. She had stepped down. Her once gorgeous figure had taken on weight. She was no longer receiving visitors. I did not see her again—but I will love her always.

Speaking of international matters, a related anecdote comes to mind from Saudi Arabia. Once, a violent sandstorm disrupted all wire services, and suddenly this sign appeared:
**“Until further notice, please limit calls to four wives.”**

Mike Macdonald Tips 275-Pounder to Fix Seahawks’ Run Game

Mike Macdonald knows the Seattle Seahawks need a boost in their running game, and he is referring to beefy fullback Robbie Ouzts, who is expected to play against the Washington Commanders in Week 9. Ouzts has missed the last four games due to an ankle injury, but Macdonald believes the blocking back’s return is “great. It wasn’t a long practice, but got some good reps in,” according to The Tacoma News Tribune’s Gregg Bell.

Having Ouzts back in the lineup will lead to a shift in how the Seahawks deploy personnel in the running game. As Macdonald pointed out, “We’ve majored in 12 personnel, 13 personnel. We’ll see how the game plan shakes out, but Robbie provides more two-back flexibility than probably we’ve had.” These new, heavier formations could unlock the Seahawks’ so far unfulfilled potential when running the ball.

### Seahawks Need Changes in the Running Game

Despite the breakaway talents of Kenneth Walker III and the rugged dependability of Zach Charbonnet, the Seahawks’ running game is not intimidating opponents. They rank eighth in the league in rushing attempts but are 30th in yards-per-carry average (3.7), according to Seahawks.com Senior Reporter John Boyle.

These numbers are not what one would expect given offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak’s expertise with the famed zone-stretch system. However, that staple play hasn’t been yielding much for Walker and company. “Teams are dedicated to stopping it — the Seahawks face loaded boxes at the highest rate in the league,” notes Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic.

In response, Kubiak is attempting to diversify the run game by incorporating more counter, gap, and straight-ahead power runs. These plays were used with mixed results during the 27-19 win over the Houston Texans in Week 7. As Dugar explained, “The pivot would then be to gash teams between the tackles, which the Seahawks attempted with a little bit of success against the Texans. But is that the best use of the personnel? They have a light, athletic offensive line, which is why a scheme based on running off the ball was supposed to pop.”

Another challenge is that the tight ends have not been physical enough to hold their blocks consistently, meaning the Seahawks need to get bigger along the line of scrimmage. This is where Robbie Ouzts comes in.

### Robbie Ouzts’ Return Boosts One-Dimensional Offense

Though only a rookie and a 2025 NFL draft fifth-round pick, Ouzts has already made a positive impact. For example, in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he helped Kenneth Walker rush for 105 yards by delivering a series of crushing blocks. NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger highlighted some of his best blocks, showcasing the difference a fullback the size of a defensive lineman can make.

Adding Ouzts provides the Seahawks with more power and physicality up front, putting some much-needed “oomph” into their rushing concepts. This could be the key to moving the ball more effectively on the ground and making the run game a more threatening part of Seattle’s offense.

Charlie Kirk Predicted His Death before Being Assassinated in Public… as Podcaster’s Friend Candace Owens Leaks His Text Messages

**Candace Owens Shares Shocking Alleged Texts from Charlie Kirk Predicting His Early Death**

*Published: October 28, 2025, 6:10 p.m. ET*

Candace Owens has made a startling new claim, sharing what she says are text messages between herself and Charlie Kirk in which he apparently predicted his own early death, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

### Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Prophetic Texts to Candace Owens

In the exchange, Kirk begins by praising Owens as “the Iron Lady of America,” before shifting the conversation to a darker topic – his fear that he might not see “this whole thing through.”

The texts read:

> “I am not sure I will live to see the end of this revolution,” Kirk allegedly wrote.
> “Since the beginning of TPUSA [Turning Point USA], I knew in my gut I might get wiped out at any time.”

He continues:

> “I cannot explain it, but I dream about it all the time. Like all the time. Anyway, that’s depressing convo for another… time.”

Owens responded:

> “That is so weird—more a fear manifestation than an… actualization.”

Kirk then reassured her that he was “not really afraid of it” but was simply “telling” her what he believed to be true.

### Questions Arise Over the Authenticity of the Texts

Once these texts were shared on social media, skepticism quickly followed. Users noted some oddities, such as the absence of time stamps and the unusual choice not to capitalize the word “god” in Kirk’s messages.

One social media user pointed out:

> “It is really easy to Photoshop text messages. I don’t believe this one bit. It would have to be subpoenaed directly from the cellphone company to be legit.”

Others criticized Owens for sharing what they viewed as private conversations.

> “That is disgusting to share personal texts,” another wrote. “My best friend died, and I would never share our personal messages or blame her family and friends for her death.”

### Accusations That Owens Is Profiting Off Charlie Kirk’s Death

RadarOnline.com previously reported that Owens has been accused of exploiting Kirk’s death for personal gain. Since his passing, Owens has pushed various theories on her show regarding the circumstances of his death and potential perpetrators.

After she suggested a theory involving an Egyptian plane, some on the platform X accused her of “grifting.”

One critic wrote:

> “She’s grifting hard to pay for her legal defense in the Macron case,” referencing her ongoing litigation with Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron, whom Owens has claimed Brigitte was born a man.
> “They are seeking punitive damages, and there is a good chance she’ll lose. Expect her to try selling more merchandise and continuing wild podcasts. Her actions regarding Charlie’s death will be used against her. She’s desperate and will be humbled.”

### Owens Claims She Was on an Assassination List Alongside Tucker Carlson

Beyond conspiracy theories about Kirk’s death, Owens recently revealed that she and Tucker Carlson were on a list to be assassinated on the day Kirk died.

In her words:

> “I do not accept – nor do you guys – that Charlie Kirk lost his life because he really pissed off the trans lobby,” Owens began.

> “It terrifies me to think that on the day Charlie died, I got multiple phone calls from people who said that me and Tucker [Carlson] should lay low because we’re also on the list.”

Owens acknowledged she was never explicitly told who alerted her to the list.

> “Was that supposed to be a threat to me and Tucker? To have us watch the public execution of a friend of ours and then to call us and say we should lay low for a little bit because we’re hearing that you guys are on a list.”

She also questioned the informant’s reluctance to share full details:

> “I don’t know what’s gonna happen, okay? I don’t know how many days I have on this planet. I do know what I’m fighting for. And I do know this life is not it.”

READ IN FULL: Trump Appeals Manhattan DA Case

Liberty Nation | October 28, 2025
By Liberty Nati Pluribus Unum

**Get all the facts without the spin.**

On Monday, October 27, President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a 111-page appeal challenging his New York conviction following a contentious prosecution led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The appeal was submitted to the New York State Supreme Court.

The legal filing calls for the complete dismissal of what it describes as the “most politically charged prosecution in our Nation’s history.” Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records after a trial in New York. However, the case has been put on hold until 2029, when the 47th president is scheduled to leave office.

A spokesperson for President Trump’s legal team told Fox News Digital,
“President Trump’s legal team filed a powerhouse appeal in the Manhattan DA’s Witch Hunt, as the President continues his fight to put an end to the Radical Democrat Lawfare once and for all.

The Supreme Court’s historic decision on Immunity, the Federal and New York State Constitutions, and other established legal precedent mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately overturned and dismissed.”

At Liberty Nation News, we believe in presenting the facts. As such, we are publishing the full appeal for your review.

Conservative Pundit Shares Close Encounter With ‘Politically Violent Attacks’ at Senate Panel Hearing

Prominent conservative commentator Michael Knowles addressed the growing threat of political violence during a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Tuesday. Speaking before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Knowles emphasized the urgent need for federal action to counteract what he described as a consistent and accelerated threat of leftist terrorism.

“The federal government must act now to stop the consistent and accelerated threat of leftist terrorism. For a legislator to deny the threat and neglect the remedy might once have been chalked up to ignorance. Today, it is nothing less than a complicity,” Knowles declared.

The hearing, titled “Politically Violent Attacks: A Threat to Our Constitutional Order,” featured testimony from several experts aside from Knowles. These included Chad Wolf of the America First Policy Institute and former acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security; Daniel Hodges, a Washington, D.C., police officer; William Braniff, executive director of the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab (PERIL) at American University’s School of Public Affairs; and Kyle Shideler, director and senior analyst for homeland security and counterterrorism with the Center for Security Policy.

Near the beginning of his opening statement, Knowles laid out his position on which side of the political spectrum—Left or Right—is more responsible for the rising violence in the United States. Below are four key takeaways from his testimony:

### 1. The Left Is ‘More Violent’ Than the Right

“[L]est I be accused of partisan invective… no less an emblem of American liberalism than The Atlantic magazine published an article citing a recent study from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, admitting that the Left is more violent today than the right,” Knowles stated.

He then recounted a personal experience with violent protesters in April 2023. The Daily Wire host had been invited to debate transgender issues at the University of Pittsburgh. Before the event, dozens of left-wing protesters—including some with their faces covered—burned an effigy of Knowles.

### 2. A Close Encounter With Violence

“As the Pittsburgh fire department put out my burning effigy, an Antifa operative named Brian DiPippa, hiding behind his wife, Krystal, rolled two smoke bombs under police barricades,” Knowles said.

He described how Brian DiPippa threw a firework at police officers, resulting in burns and “life-altering injuries to a female officer.” DiPippa was ultimately sentenced to five years in prison, while his wife received three years’ probation. Knowles voiced frustration over the sentencing, implying it was too lenient given the severity of the crime.

### 3. Punishment Must Match the Crime

“I think we should all be able to agree that throwing an explosive at a group of people is no mere minor indiscretion. That is a very serious crime. That’s attempted murder, the kind of crime that merits life in prison,” Knowles asserted.

He also highlighted a controversial endorsement involving Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who supported Democratic Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones despite Jones having made inflammatory statements in private text messages, including wishing “two bullets to the head” upon a former Virginia House speaker.

“You certainly cannot have law enforcement officers who would engage in this kind of violent rhetoric against half of their constituents. So long as anyone stands by an endorsement such as that, their words are meaningless. They are shedding crocodile tears on the topic of political violence,” Knowles added.

### 4. A Tragic Reminder: The Killing of Charlie Kirk

Reflecting on the gunshot killing of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, Knowles said, “There was no more gracious, generous, or charitable debater on college campuses than Charlie Kirk, and he always endeavored to hear out the other side… to give them the benefit of the doubt. And he was killed for it. He was killed for ideological reasons. And it has to be an inflection point.”

Knowles concluded that the nation must use such tragedies as turning points to take decisive action against political violence in all its forms.

Michael Knowles’ testimony highlights his conviction that left-wing extremism poses a significant and growing threat to America’s constitutional order—one that demands a firm and immediate response from lawmakers and law enforcement alike.

OpenAI non-profit org restructures with majority stake in for-profit business

OpenAI has completed a significant restructuring, dividing the company into two distinct entities: a non-profit called the OpenAI Foundation and a for-profit called OpenAI Group PBC.

Microsoft, which has made AI a key focus across its products and services, currently owns 27 percent of OpenAI’s for-profit business. This corporate restructuring was announced in a recent blog post by OpenAI.

The non-profit OpenAI Foundation has committed $25 billion toward advancements in health and minimizing the risks associated with AI. Additionally, the non-profit holds approximately $130 billion in equity stakes in OpenAI’s for-profit arm. As Bret Taylor, Chair of the OpenAI Board of Directors, explains, “The more OpenAI succeeds as a company, the more the non-profit’s equity stake will be worth, which the non-profit will use to fund its philanthropic work.”

In a separate update, OpenAI detailed its ongoing relationship with Microsoft, which began in 2019. Microsoft supported the creation of OpenAI’s for-profit division, and its $135 billion stake represents 27% ownership of the company’s shares.

This restructuring aligns with OpenAI’s mission to balance innovative AI development with responsible stewardship and philanthropic goals.

John Rocker blasts Big Apple again with Zohran Mamdani favored to win mayoral election: ‘F–k New York’

New York City’s mayoral election seems to have only reinforced John Rocker’s negative feelings about the Big Apple. The former Braves relief pitcher took to X on Tuesday to voice his opinion on the state of the race, in which democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani is favored to win.

Rocker, who made headlines with his incendiary comments about New York during a Sports Illustrated interview in 1999, once again expressed his dislike of the city.

“25 years ago I criticized New York for its rapid decline into a third world country,” Rocker began his post. “I was forced to undergo psychological counseling, as if I were the crazy one. 25 years later, the city is voting in a Muslim socialist for mayor. F-K NEW YORK.”

During his 1999 interview with journalist Jeff Pearlman, Rocker didn’t hold back his disdain for New York and its residents. He bashed New York and Mets fans and openly expressed his discomfort with “foreigners.”

“I’d retire first. It’s the most hectic, nerve-wracking city,” Rocker said when asked if he’d ever play in New York. “Imagine having to take the 7 Train to the ballpark looking like you’re riding through Beirut next to some kid with purple hair, next to some queer with AIDS, right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time, right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It’s depressing.”

He continued: “The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?”

Following widespread backlash to the article, Rocker publicly apologized and was mandated by MLB to undergo psychiatric counseling before being suspended for 28 games—a ban that was later reduced by half.

When the Braves came to New York for the first time during the 2000 season, hundreds of NYPD officers provided extra security at a packed Shea Stadium. Many angry fans were ready to voice their displeasure toward Rocker.

In June of this year, Rocker recalled that game on social media, sharing a message similar to his recent post about the election.

“25 years ago today I pitched at Shea Stadium for the first time since the Sports Illustrated article released,” he wrote on X. “More than 700 NYPD were on site. Police escorted one person out of the stadium for throwing a beer bottle at me. We ended up winning that game. F-K NEW YORK.”

1990 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon

This 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo wagon was originally delivered new through Volvo’s European Special Delivery program. It remained registered with a single owner in California until 2024. In June 2024, it was sold on Bring a Trailer (BaT) and was subsequently acquired by the current seller in Colorado three months later.

Under the current ownership, several performance and maintenance upgrades were completed. These included the installation of a performance camshaft, an adjustable cam gear, and urethane anti-sway bar bushings. In addition to these modifications, cosmetic and mechanical refurbishments were carried out. Dents in the left rear and left front wheel arches were repaired, and the affected panels were repainted. The rear wiper motor was replaced, and the sunroof mechanism was repaired. Other components such as the timing belt, water pump, crankshaft position sensor, gaskets, seals, and exhaust parts were also replaced.

This Volvo 740 Turbo is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter inline-four engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The engine was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. Additional work performed under the current ownership includes the replacement of the idler pulley, air filter, valve cover gasket, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, accessory drive belts, and the oil was changed at approximately 187,000 miles.

The exterior of the car is finished in Polar White (189), complemented by 16-inch Hydra alloy wheels fitted with 205/55 Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires. The vehicle features automatic antenna operation and a power-operated steel sunroof. Cosmetic updates include refinishing of the grille, headlight surrounds, bumpers, side moldings, mirror housings, and replacement of the taillights. Dings on the right-front fender and right-rear door were corrected using paintless dent removal in preparation for sale.

This wagon is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes with ABS to provide reliable stopping power. The suspension benefits from a rear anti-sway bar and iPd front and rear anti-sway bar bushings fitted under current ownership. The front brake rotors were resurfaced, front brake pads were replaced, and rear shocks were installed for enhanced handling and comfort.

Inside, the cabin features heated front seats that have been reupholstered in replacement gray leather and vinyl. Other amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, and a cassette stereo. A rear-facing third-row bench in the cargo area folds flat into the floor, expanding the versatile storage space. The steering wheel is equipped with an airbag, and the instrument cluster houses a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer currently reads 187,000 miles, with approximately 6,000 miles added under the current ownership.

The powertrain sends power to the rear wheels through the four-speed automatic transmission, maintaining the classic rear-wheel-drive layout. A replacement exhaust resonator, muffler, and tailpipe from iPd were also installed.

Included in the sale are the build sheet, the original owner’s manual, parts invoices, and the removed stock camshaft and timing gear. The vehicle also comes with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name and an accident-free Carfax report, which notably lists at least one open recall.

This well-maintained and upgraded Volvo 740 Turbo wagon presents an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts seeking a blend of classic European styling, practicality, and enhanced performance.
