UMaine hockey player out of hospital after scary on-ice collision

University of Maine men’s hockey player Jeremy Langlois is out of the hospital and back in Orono, the UMaine athletic department announced Monday after a scary moment in Saturday’s game against Boston College. “After a collision in Saturday night’s game, Jeremy Langlois was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for evaluation where CT scans and X-rays were normal,” UMaine Athletics said in a Monday afternoon update. “He was released and has since traveled back to Orono where he is under the care of our sports medicine staff.” With 8: 46 to play in Saturday’s game, a check sent the freshman defender falling into the boards. The game was stopped for several minutes and Langlois was taken off the ice on a stretcher. No penalty was assessed on the play.
