A bomb squad was called to a shopping center along Valley Boulevard in El Monte on Monday after police found a “suspicious device” inside a car that had been pulled over, authorities said.
The incident began around 3:15 p.m. when El Monte police and California Highway Patrol officers stopped a red Volkswagen along Valley Boulevard.
