UAAP girls volleyball: NU, Adamson stay perfect heading into rematch

National University-Nazareth School and Adamson University are set to face off in a highly anticipated rematch of last season’s finals, both entering the game with perfect records.

The defending champion Lady Bullpups showcased their dominance on Sunday by overpowering the Ateneo Baby Eagles. They allowed just 27 points in a commanding straight-sets victory, winning 25-7, 25-14, 25-6.

Meanwhile, the Baby Falcons also cruised to a decisive win against their respective opponents, maintaining their flawless season start.

UAAP: Adamson blows another big lead but beats UE to stop skid

MANILA, Philippines – Adamson clamped down defensively in the fourth quarter to hold off University of the East, 77-62, in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday.

The Falcons snapped a three-game skid and improved their record to 2-4. However, they nearly squandered a 20-point halftime lead before tightening their defense in the final period to secure the win.

The duel was the first men’s basketball game held in the tournament.
