YouTube TV, Disney announce multi-year distribution agreement

The long nightmare is finally over. Disney and Google announced on Friday night that the two sides have reached a deal to restore Disney’s channels, including ESPN, to YouTube TV.

The Disney networks are already being restored to YouTube TV customers, which is great news for anyone wanting to watch Clemson take on Louisville.

“This new agreement reflects our continued commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment and evolving with how audiences choose to watch,” Disney entertainment co-chairmen Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, along with ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro, said in a statement. “It recognizes the tremendous value of Disney’s programming and provides YouTube TV subscribers with more flexibility and choice. We are pleased that our networks have been restored in time for fans to enjoy the many great programming options this weekend, including college football.”

As part of the agreement, all ESPN networks, ABC, Disney-branded channels, Freeform, the FX Networks, and National Geographic channels are now available to YouTube TV customers.

Additionally, ESPN’s new Unlimited Plan will be available at no additional cost to YouTube TV subscribers.

Former WWE Star Gets Brutally Honest About John Cena Winning the IC Title

Earlier this week, John Cena made history in his hometown of Boston by winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career. Cornette also mentioned how odd the referee looked after Cena and Dominik each tried to blame the other for hitting with a steel chair. According to Cornette, the referee should have started a count with both men down on the mat, rather than looking back and forth between them.

Cornette was especially critical of the match’s finish, where Dominik landed a 619 to knock Cena down, followed by a frogsplash from the corner for a pinfall attempt. Cena reportedly “no-sold” the frogsplash by rolling through it and hitting the Attitude Adjustment to secure the win—something Cornette noted is likely unprecedented with that move.

Despite these criticisms, Cornette acknowledged that the match was “put together very well,” featuring mostly in-ring action rather than high-flying or risky spots involving crashing into tables or other objects.

He also agreed that the crowd reaction to Cena winning the Intercontinental Championship was tremendous. Cornette’s co-host even suggested it might have been the biggest pop for an IC title win since Ultimate Warrior captured the championship in 1988 at Madison Square Garden.

Looking ahead, Cornette speculated that Cena will likely face Gunther in his final match on “Saturday Night’s Main Event” this December—an encounter that could further elevate Gunther before Cena retires.

Convicted former clerk Tina Peters trying to move to federal prison

Supporters of incarcerated former Republican Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters are pushing to have her transferred from a state facility to a federal prison, arguing that it would provide a safer environment as she appeals her state conviction. The federal Bureau of Prisons has now officially requested the move.

Peters is currently incarcerated at the La Vista Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison for women located in Pueblo, Colorado. In 2024, a state judge sentenced Peters to nine years in prison after she was found guilty of several felonies related to her efforts to help a man gain unauthorized access to Mesa County’s Dominion voting machines in 2021.

A spokesperson for the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) confirmed the federal request, stating, “On November 12, 2025, we received a letter from the Federal Bureau of Prisons regarding Tina Peters. The letter is currently under review in accordance with all applicable departmental policies and procedures.”

The CDOC explained that transferring an incarcerated individual to another jurisdiction involves a multi-step process, including a multi-disciplinary assessment. Such transfers cannot be initiated by outside entities and are typically reserved for complex cases involving significant, long-term safety and security needs.

Peters’ attorneys have also filed a federal habeas petition, asking a federal judge to release her on bond while she appeals her state conviction. Her lead attorney, Peter Ticktin, told CPR News that he is advocating for her move to a federal facility and is pushing the U.S. Department of Justice to support the effort, citing her long-term safety concerns at the state prison.

“For somebody who’s perhaps a little more genteel, a little bit more educated, a little bit more established, it puts her in a more difficult position for sure. She’s been threatened,” Ticktin said.

He further revealed that the state informed Peters’ legal team that due to her behavior, she is ineligible to move to a different housing zone within the state prison.

“There is a level and a place in the prison where they can isolate women and put them with safer people, but you need to get approved for that. They say, ‘oh, no, she’s been written up too many times,’” Ticktin explained.

The Colorado Department of Corrections declined to comment on whether Peters has reported threats or whether she has been disciplined for rule violations.

Peter Ticktin, a constitutional lawyer based in Florida, also helped lobby for pardons for participants in the January 6 attacks. He has known former President Donald Trump since their days at New York Military Academy, where Trump attended middle and high school.

Ticktin has questioned whether the Justice Department is doing everything possible to secure Peters’ transfer to a minimum-security federal prison. He believes Peters is being targeted, much like other Trump supporters.

“Tina Peters is a proud American, and she’s not embarrassed or ashamed in any way. She’s proud of what she’s done because she’s not a criminal. She’s just a good person,” Ticktin said.

The Department of Justice has already become involved in Peters’ habeas case. Meanwhile, Trump has posted multiple times on social media, calling for her release and describing her as a “brave and innocent patriot.”

Peters argues that the judge who oversaw her case, Matthew Barrett, denied her bail in order to silence her views on the integrity of American elections, thereby violating her constitutionally protected right to free speech.

SF Giants lose another coach as Hallberg takes job with Twins

The Giants have lost another coach from last year’s staff, as first-base coach Mark Hallberg will join the Minnesota Twins as a bench coach under recently hired manager Derek Shelton, the Twins announced on Friday.

President of baseball operations Buster Posey told reporters this week in Las Vegas during MLB’s GM Meetings that Hallberg, his roommate at Florida State, and catching coach Alex Burg were deciding whether to stay with the Giants or pursue other options.

“He’s one of those that we’d love to have back, but he has been kind of a popular guy with some other teams, as well,” Posey said on Tuesday. “We’re working through that.”

Hallberg, 39, spent six seasons on the Giants’ coaching staff under former managers Gabe Kapler and Bob Melvin. Over the years, he served as an assistant coach (2020–21), third-base coach (2022–23), and first-base coach (2024–25).

Along with Hallberg, several other coaches will not be returning under new manager Tony Vitello’s staff. Bench coach Ryan Christenson, pitching coach J. P. Martinez, bullpen coach Garvin Alston, hitting coach Pat Burrell, assistant hitting coach Damon Minor, and third-base coach Matt Williams have all departed.

Posey confirmed earlier this week that assistant hitting coach Oscar Bernard, quality control coach Taira Uematsu, and bullpen catcher Eliezer Zambrano will be back next season. However, it remains undecided whether catching coach Alex Burg will return.

The Giants’ returning staff will be joined by former San Diego Padres manager Jayce Tingler and former Toronto Blue Jays assistant hitting coach Hunter Mense. While Tingler’s specific role has yet to be announced, Mense will replace Pat Burrell as San Francisco’s new hitting coach.
