出演者の一人である同市の田中信幸さん（74）は、幼い頃から戦争の話を聞かされて育ちました。

本作は、田中さんの父親から託された戦中の日記を元に、戦争によって豹変させられた人間の姿を描いています。

映画は戦争の加害の側面に焦点を当て、平和への理解を深めることを目的としています。
