Patrick Mahomes Breaks Silence on Major Knee Injury in Telling Post

The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 season came to a devastating halt on December 14, following the shocking news that quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a serious knee injury during the team’s elimination loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Shortly after the game, Mahomes addressed his injury in a heartfelt post on X, writing:
“Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it hurts. But all we can do now is trust in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you Chiefs Kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I will be back stronger than ever ⏰.”

This message immediately alarmed fans and followers, who feared the worst after reading the quarterback’s somber words. Unfortunately, those fears were soon confirmed.

### Patrick Mahomes Suffers Torn ACL

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter were among the first to report that Mahomes had suffered a torn ACL. This injury officially ends what has been a nightmare season for the star quarterback.

Since becoming the Chiefs’ starter, Mahomes has not missed an AFC Championship game—or even the postseason in general—making this setback all the more significant.

### What’s Next for Mahomes and the Chiefs?

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, the primary concern is whether Mahomes will recover in time for Week 1. Recovery from a torn ACL typically takes anywhere from nine months to over a year. Mahomes is expected to undergo surgery sometime in December, meaning he will likely miss OTAs and training camp.

If his rehabilitation takes longer than expected, he could also miss part of the early 2026 schedule, leaving the Chiefs to adjust without their leader on the field.

### Mahomes’ Commitment to Recovery

Throughout his career, Mahomes has been known for rarely missing time due to injury and for his rigorous training regimen focused on flexibility and pliability to prevent injury.

There is no doubt the quarterback will dedicate himself fully to his recovery. However, as he mentioned in his post, some things are ultimately in the hands of a higher power.

The Chiefs Kingdom will undoubtedly be rooting for their superstar to come back stronger than ever.

“You got to get rid of Joe Schoen”: NFL fans react as Giants get eliminated from playoff contention after 34-27 loss to Lions

The Giants fell to 2-10, losing to the Detroit Lions on Sunday as general manager Joe Schoen continues the search for a new head coach. The franchise had fired former head coach Brian Daboll after a 2-8 start to the 2025 season while deciding to continue with Schoen. Mike Kafka took over as the interim head coach and has since led the Giants to two straight losses, including Sunday’s loss to the Lions. The loss meant the Giants have dropped out of playoff contention for this campaign. Thanks for the submission! Reactions are trailing the team’s 10th loss of the season, especially with calls across social media for Schoen to be fired. Francesco Dimaggio wrote: 70% Win (110-25-1) 70% Win (110-25-1) 70% Win (110-25-1) Unlock Free tips from our Experts Get Picks Now “You got to get rid of the GM, just not the coach. The coach doesn’t trade or pick up players.” Stakit also demanded: “Please fire the GM.” Herbert D. Espinosa remarked: “This is only the mathematical confirmation of something we all knew a long time ago.” JaydenBlue commented: “How did the Giants get eliminated before the one-win Titans?” Jonathan V also commented: “And they keep the general manager despite having 1 winning season.” Chris wrote: “Thanks, Giants, for another joke of a season. Fire everyone and sell the team.” Why wasn’t Joe Schoen fired alongside Brian Daboll? Many felt that the firing of Daboll by the Giants was a justified move and long overdue. But the decision to retain Joe Schoen has been described as “stopping at a half measure.” But co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch attempted to explain what warranted the measure in a statement. The excuse, of course, was that Schoen has recruited a young pool of talent. Mara said: “We feel like Joe has assembled a good young nucleus of talent, and we look forward to its development. Unfortunately, the results over the past three years have not been what any of us want. We take full responsibility for those results and look forward to the kind of success our fans expect.” The implication of this statement is that the co-owners are convinced Joe Schoen has delivered on his stated role of recruiting talent for the team. Daboll’s role of getting results out of the talent is what the co-owners deem unfulfilled. The Giants have tasked Schoen with finding a new head coach as Kafka steers the team’s ship in the interim. With his five-year deal almost running into its final year, it remains to be seen what his future with the franchise will be.

Pacifica football unable to slow Hillcrest in Division 10 semifinals

For the second consecutive season, the season ended for the Pacifica football team in the CIF-SS Division 10 semifinals. Pacifica traveled to Riverside on Friday to face Hillcrest and lost, 39-20, at Hillcrest High. The Mariners fell to St. Anthony in the semifinals in 2024. Pacifica finished this season 9-4 overall and won the Omicron League championship for the second consecutive time. “I’m thankful I had the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of young men, particularly the seniors,” Pacifica coach Kyle Murphy said. “They poured their hearts into this program for the last three years and this season was a culmination of that work.” Mike Lee had two rushing touchdowns for the Mariners, including a long touchdown run that cut Hillcrest’s lead to 16-14 in the first quarter. James Anema threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to David Carlsson on a screen in the third quarter to cut the Hillcrest lead to 25-20. Hillcrest (8-5) ran for 311 yards with four touchdowns against Pacifica. Reyez Ortiz ran for 192 yards with three touchdowns and quarterback Matthew Ramos ran for 119 with a score. Ramos also threw for 149 yards with a touchdown. “Unfortunately we didn’t play well enough to win and Hillcrest was a huge reason why,” Murphy said. “They were physical and executed at a high level. Our guys gave all they had and that’s all I ever ask them to do.” Hillcrest, which beat St. Margaret’s in the quarterfinals, will host Tahquitz in the Division 10 championship game on Friday or Saturday, Nov. 28-29. Pacifica was seeking its first championship appearance since 2007. The Mariners had a seven-game winning streak entering Friday and beat El Rancho and Liberty in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Fighter jet crashes at Air Show as spectators watch in horror, waiting for an impossible miracle

Air shows are supposed to be fun activities with good entertainment and unimaginable stunts. But sometimes they end up in a plane crash and, even worse yet, a person could die. Such was the case when an Indian HAL Tejas combat jet crashed on Nov. 21 at the Dubai Air Show. Plane crashes are a complicated event for all pilots worldwide. No matter what level of experience they may be, it’s always a possibility. Sometimes a pilot can get lucky and make a safe crash landing, and sometimes they can cause damage or harm to the people who are around the scene of the landing. But the hope always remains for people to get out alive. For the Tejas combat jet, as the crash was ongoing everyone was holding their breath hoping for the pilot to eject at the last minute. But the maneuver was far too low and too fast for any hope of that. One pilot at the scene took to X, posting a clip of the fatal accident while sending condolences to the family of the pilot. Reuters reported another attendee saying, “I could see three different fireballs when it collided with the ground,” he added, “Everybody in the crowd stood up there on their feet, and then maybe in around 30 seconds, the emergency vehicles rushed over to the location at the crash site.” The UAE Ministry of Defense responded rapidly at the scene. But there was little they could do beyond extinguishing the fire and ensuring everyone close to the scene was safe. Unfortunately, recently there has been an upsurge of flight incidents, and for most fliers the hope is just that the level of safety on trips doesn’t get any worse than it already is. Air shows, believe it or not, are meant to improve that trust over time. The Indian Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Anil Chauhan, told the press that the Indian Army was aware of the tragic situation and are deeply regretful of how things turned out. There is still no information about what caused the crash, and considering it’s the army, the likelihood of that information ever coming out is very low. This happened on the very last day of the Dubai Air Show. The event has been a tradition in the growing city and is in its 19th year. When it first started, it was just a small demonstration of the ambition of what the UAE could be. Over the years it has grown to hosting the biggest companies such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing and hosts an audience of up to 80, 000 people. It benefits everyone involved to showcase just how much these planes and pilots can achieve. But perhaps this will end up serving as a turning point on how to improve the safety measures at the event. Sad situations such as this should not occur.

Diablo 4: Can you play in split-screen?

Diablo 4 is a very popular co-op game, but can you split-screen? What could be better than sitting down on the couch with a friend or loved one, and smashing through hordes of demons and the undead in D4? This Season in particular has been a good one, and likely saw quite a few players return for it. Unfortunately, if you’re looking specifically for split-screen co-op in Diablo 4, the answer is a very firm “no”. While that may not be what people want to hear, there is still a solution for playing together in-person, provided you’re playing on console. Steps to play split-screen co-op in Diablo 4 While you can’t play split-screen co-op in Diablo 4, you can couch co-op, provided you’re playing on console. Sadly, PC players don’t get access to this feature, and while it has been known to have issues on console, it is still an option that’s available to you, should you really have a hankering to play together in person. Technically, all you need to do is have Diablo 4 installed on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, and have two controllers. There are a few restrictions to keep in mind though, before you commit. Each player needs to have a PSN/Xbox Live account, though both players do not need to own D4 to play couch co-op. If your partner doesn’t own the game, they won’t be able to use any of your characters either, so they’ll be starting fresh. What this means for you is that you’ll likely be starting a new character with them. In order to group it with someone who had already established a character, they have to at least clear the prologue of D4, at least on the Seasonal servers. The good news is if that person you were going to split-screen with has D4, and they’ve linked their Battle. net to their PSN, it’s a simple matter of logging in, and picking the character they want to use. You won’t split-screen though. If someone gets too far away, the other player will teleport to them. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s the closest we’re going to get, if that’s your preference. 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP Qualifying: Winners and Losers

The 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP qualifying was an intriguing affair where the wet tire made an appearance and was ironically a better option compared to the generic intermediate that has become the norm. The low-grip, low-temperature conditions were made worse when it rained, and it became even more slippery. Through all of this emerged Lando Norris, who once nailed everything as best as he could with the conditions on offer to secure pole position. The British driver was expecting a not-so-good race this time around, as the F1 Las Vegas GP had not been a happy hunting ground for McLaren. Looking at the conditions and the way the car worked, it’s safe to say that the driver would be happy to start the race at the front and try and shut the door on his title rivals. With that being said, the F1 Las Vegas GP qualifying is now done and dusted, and everyone gets ready for the race. Who would be happy with where they find themselves in the pecking order, and who would be a bit disappointed? Let’s take a look. 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP Winner Lando Norris Cometh the hour, cometh the champion? Well, it seems that way, as Lando Norris has slowly and steadily made it a habit to finish the most important weekends at the top of the timesheets. The F1 Las Vegas GP qualifying was just another one of those. The British driver is starting to perform like a driver worthy of winning the championship. Loser Oscar Piastri While Lando Norris continues to surge, his teammate Oscar Piastri is going through the exact opposite cycle, where the momentum has been sapped out of his title run. The Australian is a strong driver, but it does appear that he lacks that final tenth, which makes Lando lethal. The uphill task became even more improbable for Piastri after the F1 Las Vegas GP qualifying. Winner Carlos Sainz Carlos Sainz was questioned about the situation at Ferrari earlier in the weekend, and the Spaniard wisely opted not to say anything about that. In an outcome that would make his smile wider, Sainz qualified ahead of not one but both drivers from his former team. Once it was announced last season that Sainz would be dropped by Ferrari for Lewis Hamilton, there was a sense that the driver had an uphill task in front of him. A top 3 qualifying for the F1 Las Vegas GP just shows that things are moving in the right direction for him. Loser Lewis Hamilton Ferrari might not have a good car for these conditions, and the operations might not be the best within that team, but you cannot qualify in P20 and find it acceptable. It had not been too long when Ferrari boss John Elkann told drivers to focus on their driving and talk less. Unfortunately for Hamilton, the performance is just not acceptable. For a large part of the season, adapting to Ferrari was one of the things that was often used as a get-out-of-jail ticket for a lack of results. In the 22nd race of the season, those excuses are starting to wear thin. Winner Pierre Gasly Gasly can’t wait for 2026, it seems, but at the same time the French driver continues to serve reminders to anyone who has forgotten how good he is. The Alpine was semi-competitive this weekend, and the French driver found the lap time good enough to secure a Q3 slot. Loser Kimi Antonelli The F1 Las Vegas GP was ideally an opportunity for Kimi Antonelli to potentially put himself in contention for his first-ever win. Mercedes is expected to be strong here, and looking at what George Russell was accomplishing in the car, a strong result was on offer. Unfortunately, Kimi Antonelli messed up his qualifying in the F1 Las Vegas GP and would now start the race near the back of the grid. It’s just not ideal for the Italian, who came into the weekend with a load of momentum on his side.

Big Event posts update following AJ Lee AI controversy

WWE Superstar AJ Lee made her return to RAW earlier this week, costing Becky Lynch the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. While it was an exciting moment, which should’ve led to a week of trying to figure out Lee’s next move, the segment was sadly overshadowed thanks to a strange YouTube upload. Ad AJ Lee has unfortunately found herself a subject of debate online. The WWE Superstar recently appeared at The Big Event NY on November 15th, meeting fans and signing autographs. One fan used the experience to create an AI video of himself kissing Lee, leading to justified outrage throughout the week. Thanks for the submission! After banning the perpetrator, The Big Event made a statement regarding shows going forward. The convention is putting its foot down in an attempt to make sure nothing like this happens again. Ad Trending “As most have you have seen The Big Event has been making headlines for the past 48 hours for the wrong reasons. How to harvest plants for Trials – ARC Raiders

The harvest plants Trial in ARC Raiders asks players to collect plants. It sounds simple. Unfortunately, actually finding plants can be tough, and even when you do find them, some don’t count! The good news is that there is one location which let ensure you hit the 3-star reward and even hopefully bump you up a rank. How to harvest plants The best place to farm the harvest plants Trial is on Dam Battlegrounds in a Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm. Go to Hydroponic Dome Complex to find Moss, Mushrooms, and Great Mullein. These are the three plant types that count towards the harvest. Unfortunately, picking fruit (Prickly Pears, Apricots, etc) does not count towards the Trial. Once you arrive at the Hydroponic Dome Complex, search each of the buildings. Moss tends to grow on the larger canisters in each room while Great Mullein and Mushrooms can appear inside the water vats in the big buildings. After the area is clear, search through the swamp to the south. Sometimes there are Mushrooms on the trees and Great Mullein growing in the water. Your points are doubled when completing Trials in a Night Raid or similar big map event. You should get roughly 500 points per harvest, meaning you’ll need roughly eight to complete the 3-star Trial. However, if you’re chasing a highscore on the leaderboard, try to keep going and get as many as possible. Ideally, you’ll do this in a team to minimize your chances of getting surprised and downed. When playing solo, I managed to extraction with a cool 7, 000 points.

Former Obama speechwriter laments that Holocaust education has ‘backfired’ after kids spot that Israel is doing one

The Holocaust is one of the most horrific episodes in the entirety of human history. Sure, there have been countless massacres and mass murders throughout history, but nothing approaches the cold, mechanical, organized precision of what the Nazis did to Jews and countless other minorities. Understanding the evil that men and women are capable of should be an important part of any child’s education how else to stop history from repeating itself? But, at least according to author and former Barack Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz, Holocaust education has ‘unfortunately’ been a little too successful. Hurwitz, speaking to the Jewish Federation of North America, lamented that social media means young people have been exposed to unfiltered images and video of “the carnage in Gaza”, which has turned them against Israel. But it’s her comments on Holocaust education that are truly jaw-dropping: I think unfortunately the very smart bet that we made on Holocaust education to serve as antisemitism education . is beginning to break down a little bit. Because Holocaust education is absolutely essential, but I think it may be confusing some of our young people about antisemitism because they learn about big, strong Nazis hurting weak, emaciated Jews. And then they think antisemitism is like anti-black racism, right? Powerful white people against powerless black people. So when on TikTok all day long they see powerful Israelis hurting weak, skinny Palestinians it’s not surprising that they think ‘oh, I know the lesson of the Holocaust is that you fight Israel’, you fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people.” Those darn kids, always thinking for themselves. I must have missed the memo where warnings about genocide came with the footnote “Does not apply to Israel”. The point of teaching children about the Holocaust is to encourage them to identify when society’s vulnerable are being targeted, scapegoated, and murdered en masse, and for them to refuse to stay silent about it. This is a sorely needed lesson, given that minorities in America are currently living under the fear of masked government thugs snatching them off the streets and consigning them to hellish camps with no legal recourse. Frankly, Hurwitz’s claim that the secret actual motivation behind teaching kids about the Holocaust is to feed them pro-Israel propaganda designed to insulate that country from any criticism sounds like an antisemitic conspiracy theory. Jenin Younes, the national legal director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, didn’t mince her words on Hurwitz’s comments: “I am almost literally speechless. She’s decrying the fact that kids’ takeaway from Holocaust education has been that we must protect helpless people from powerful people killing them. The real lesson from the Holocaust, it seems, is that Israel must be able to commit genocide if it wants to.” At the core of this is the inescapable reality that Israel is committing a genocide, that photographic and video evidence of it is readily available for anyone with eyes to see, and that regular people are repulsed by the mass murder of innocents. If you’re looking for someone to blame for rising antisemitism, look no further than the IDF.
